You knew someone had to put a thread up for this!

So, will we see AJ back in the yellow of Watford or will his talent be wasted in the reserves of his home town?

    Please discuss!

Now that Jobi is firing on all cylinders, and Ainsworth is showing signs of being a useful asset, I'm not so sure he is needed?

However, having said that, if the price is right, another class player would not go amiss!!!

One to consider if we go up, no chance if we don't.

If we were to bid in the summer it will take a pretty hefty fee and wage packet to get him here and I guess it would depend how much money we have to spend on the team improvements overall.

Yeah a loan until the end of the season would be great - he's definately better than McScuff (although I admit he's picked up of late)

Still can't see them letting him go permanently, but if we went up we might be able to temp them with a £4-5M+ bid

Johnson can go to far better clubs IMO.

Also, perhaps he is not rated at Boro because he is much less effective against Premiership defences?

Plus I rate Muff very highly anyway.

Either way, a loan move without a buy clause would be detrimental to us and our squad.

If we did go in for Johnson we will certainly have quite a selection of wide players to choose from. I would have thought one or more of them could be converted to a CMF attacking role, perhaps Jobi or Ainsworth?

I think Downs will leave boro this summer. The extention is just to ensure a good price.

Johnson is a thousand times better than Jobi, the thing that makes him better for a start is he has end product! He can also take a free kick. Even if we get him on a 3 month loan it would be worth it and could be the difference between going up and staying down.
