Don't be alarmed if...

...you see the users/guests go up to 500+ again. I have an idea what might have triggered it yesterday and I'm going to see if i can make it happen again. If i can then I'll tell you all about it. If not then erm forget about it ;D

 

Cool will have the site ticking over in the background and keep an eye on it. See if we can break the 500.;D

I reset it late last night as I thought 488 was a bit far fetched

The little test I did today didn't seem to make any difference. I saw a small rise in numbers of bots, but I think that the reason for so many yesterday was that there were so many new pages for them to view. Yahoo bots appear to go mad and hit a site with loads of bots, google seem to leave 1 or 2 for weeks on end. Strange.

Don't worry Hornmeister, your bot friend will be back soon enough for sure.
