The thought of a King Dong partnership up front slamming it in from every position is quite something:]]
Dong Fanzhuo c+p from Sky Sports: "Watford are reportedly interested in taking Manchester United striker Dong Fanzhuo on a year-long loan deal. Hornets boss Adrian Boothroyd is keen bolster his attacking options for the new campaign and recent reports indicate he has his sights set on the 22 year-old Chinese international. Dong is expected to see limited action at Old Trafford this season given the glut of world-class strikers at Sir Alex Ferguson's disposal. A loan move to The Championship side would probably be the best option for the forward as he seeks regular first-team football in preparation for next year's Olympic Games in Beijing. If a deal is struck, Boothroyd will be hoping to replicate the success he had when Watford loaned United and England goalkeeper Ben Foster for the last two seasons." What do you guys think of this? He was the top scorer in the Belgian league last season with 17 goals and he scored 35 goals in 61 games in total, which can't be bad, particularly considering there being some good clubs like Anderlecht in there. However, he didn't look very good when he came on against Chelsea in their meaningless legaue game at the end of last season, with sloppy control and seemingly not as much pace as I thought he was meant to have. I'm not sure how good he'll be in the air either.

dont think we should be worrying about a striker especially an unproven one we have enough strikers we need another winger
Maybe not now as Rooney has a hairline fracture of the left foot and they are struggling with foward fit players.
I would like to see more of Ashikodi. I think he is one who could progress. I think he will score goals, he seems very hungry / pumped up player.
We do need a new striker! Are you guys being serious?! Aside from King, we have no strikers with any real pace, technique, guile or quality. A strike force of Hendo and Priskin, or Priskin and Kabba, is not going to get us promoted.
Totally disagree I think Hendo, Marlon, Priskin and Kabba with Hoskins and Ashikodi getting some outings in the cup games is plenty strong enough to see us win this league.
Kabba, Hoskins and Ashikodi are not good enough. Hendo and Priskin are good, but as shown by last season they need a player with pace and guile alongside them or else we will not get anywhere. There is no way King will be able to play every league game for us.
I haven't actually seen him play, but as long as he has the physical strength to handle it, I think the crafty touches that the Asian game brings could be great on this team. Look at the Koreans (Reading's Seol Ki Hyon and Manyoo's Park Ji Sung): when they came over I would have sworn they'd have NO chance to succeed in England. Seol has been a great asset to Reading and Park has done well in his time at Utd. Don't knock him guys. I seriously doubt the United scouts would sign a loser. I think he could be the #2 striker.
Thing is - China's a huge market for merchandise and to have one of their own on the books is the best way to build the fan base. I can't see him being good enough to challenge for a starting berth.
I would not say no to him coming on board, as long as there is no commitment that he has to play every week, linked to the loan deal!!! If he earns his place all well and good, but we should not be compelled to play him!!!
I'd like him here if there is an option to buy at the end of it, otherwise we are just giving experience to another teams player whilst ours rot in the reserves.
Maybe they'll introduce Noodles and Egg fried rice for half time refreshments? He could be a bit of a Jamie Oliver in disguise.
Something very wrong about Chinese/Korea/Jap players!!! I've always got this worry that they'll forget what they're doing, get the goals confused or start planting paddy fields in the goal mouth....
sung had played in a world cup hyon had played for wolves in the champ and probly the world cup (but not sure) both proven players unlike dong we need a stiker with class not another average one
commentators nightmere Poom long ball to Henderson, out to the right to smith cuts insdie ball back to mahon, to Williamson, macNuff Crosses King, DONG !!! You can see the headlines now ! Ah - bring Paris along too
He would prefer spurs at they have a Bent boy and a Keane boy on the same team both playing up front. :]]:]] We don't need a Dong we just need a fully Charged Hendo...
