https://m.skybet.com/football/transfer-specials/event/23987409 I've placed this under 'Rubbish', but interesting nonetheless from Skybet.
Not sure this is rubbish tbh. A **** ton of money must've gone on to shift the market like that, and reputable people (aside from the guy who posted it on here) have been saying we're looking at a capped England player.
An England capped player... Wasn't that the rumour? Sarr, one other being the right back? And an England capped player
Golly gosh. Those are pretty short odds. Is he any good? I recall he and Deeney has some media bantz about his inclusion in the england squad.
@Otter may be able to confirm but I’d have thought the volumes for this sort of market were pretty low? Anything more than a few quid is likely to make the bookies take avoiding action by making the odds ****.
Haha, I didn't think it was you + not calling them not reputable. Just someone not on the forums told me the same thing on Saturday.
I can see this one happening. He's in need of a club so the lack of transfer fee would make up for the wages. Plus he can play on the left wing. It's him or Sarr perhaps
The trouble with Danny Welbeck is he is a regular sick note, but I would not say no to signing him on a pay when he plays contract.
Doesn’t he want a big signing on fee of a few million and £100K a week according to the Daily Nazi. No way Gino would do that for someone so injury prone
1/4 odds on? This is just lazy bookmaking because they think all he has to do is jump over the hedge to our training ground.
To be fair, so would I. Although I’m not a huge Welbeck fan, if he’s on an affordable wage that doesn’t affect any other targets, he’s far better than Okaka and Success.
Wouldn’t say no to him, there is a very good footballer in there if you can keep him fit. The thing is as he is injured so often, you rarely get to see it.
Looking at Twitter, this all seems to have come from a couple of people saying they saw him at the training ground. Could be nonsense or could be him training with his old club next door to stay fit. Can’t imagine there’s a huge betting market on his next club so even a modest amount is likely to change the odds, But people have said we are signing a capped England Intl - and I swear @YellowKicks used to (or still does) have a certain level of ITK?
Don’t be stupid. Sarr is in Rennes. If you’d subscribed to The Athlete like Leventhal told you to, you’d have known that already.
If he could stay fit this would be a great signing but it’s a big if. If there is any truth in this I would imagine a contract would be based around how much he plays.
