My old man can't stand Francis and is always saying how crap he is and what is the point of him being on the pitch.

My reply two minutes from time today was "That's why he is on the pitch"

The jury is still out though and I am not convinced. Will Aidy keep him or not ?

I think we should perservere for the rest of the season and give him another shot next season as well.

This poll lets the forum decide. Keep the Francis or sell him off ?

when he plays well i like him , although i dont when he plays his lazy game like today , although he scored i hope he dont think in his mind he can play lazy football and score.

Sometimes players take time to settle in, maybe now he is coming good. I think we need to wait till the end of the season to judge what to do with him.

yes he can be lazy but if he keeps scoring important goals like todays then we definatley need to keep him.

Essentially agree with the two above - the jury is still out and only by the end of the season can I make a decent judgement. Even then experience tells me to give the player half the next season too before really making my mind up. Jordan Stewart, for example, has gone a long way of later to undoing a lot of the negative impressions I had about him from last season.

Where is the option to send him to a conference side?

If we had other players who showed they knew where the goal was I would agree with you, but I have to give him the rest of the season before I decide.

Its a shame it took 88 minutes for him to wake up and show everyone what potentially can happen if Francis has a good overall game.

I thought Francis looked a good buy first game of the season up at Everton.

Since then I have been caught in two minds, is he unfit or plain lazy.

In fairness to the guy i think he has improved the last few weeks, although yesterday was back to being awful, the goal aside.

He gets forward really well but with him and smith being so slow at times to track back we are often vulnerable.
I also think at times playing Francis puts that much more work and pressure on to mahon.

Yes he knows where the net is, so did Spring last year. I respect Aidys decision to move mat on but I do feel that he really wasn't given a fair crack this season.

he has a habit of scoring against everton and is up against his old club next so let him play for now

i feel he is a good player but i would sell him to a club like derby because he style of 'relaxed' play does not bode well with us. Playing Mahon as well means we have a lazy player and someone who works hard but has very actual football ability. Not a great combination.
