I can't afford tickets in anywhere but the cheapest area. So the club would rather have empty seats because I can't buy a single ticket for the family area? Joke
Didn't get mine as wanted £70 seats. Me and my friends kicked out at numerous occasions (even after getting to the payment bits). Walkabout Watford it is.
I see there is 1 £45 ticket still available behind the goal in 539. plenty of availability elsewhere still, at the end of day 1 of Cat C so anyone who wants to go can go.
Boom got some. Thanks to Stevohorn. Currently out and about trying to sell a kidney to afford them who cares I'm going to Wemberlee
We're getting another 2,000 tickets. Watford Football ClubVerified account @WatfordFC 6m6 minutes ago FA CUP FINAL TICKETS – BREAKING NEWS 1 of 2: Wembley have advised #watfordfc they’ll receive between 1,500 & 2,000 additional tickets to sell. Exact seat details to be built into system mid-late next week. Last tickets currently available still on sale… FA CUP FINAL TICKETS – BREAKING NEWS 2 of 2: so given the wait for details of these extra tickets, Cup Final Group C buyers won’t be penalised and will be given 24 more hours to buy after they’re built into system. More details as we get them early next week here at #watfordfc
If you could buy one adult ticket for this area they should just name it the paedo-zone. Dont cut off your nose to spite ya face. Get a different price ticket and go to the only cup final you may ever get to see us in. You'll regret it if you dont.
City claiming they will sell more than us is the kind of snobby elitest BS that almost wants me to see them end up with just the League Cup in the trophy cabinet come May 18th. Feckers didn't even sell half what we had for the Semi, and that doesn't even include the 2k we gave away to local schools. Damn that club is becoming detached from reality. A healthy dose of reality check courtesy of us would be awesome.
The FA set them. It's their event - the clubs don't even get a cut of the gate receipts for the final. They'll have been in another allocation. Probably a neutral area. I doubt the usual county blazers and social climbers are knocking down the FA's door for tickets.
If it is of any use, all of the tickets I had for the semi said adult and all of the final tickets say full price even though half of each were bought as student tickets, so you could save yourself a couple of quid by getting concessions. And even if you don't, you'll regret not going much more than a few more quid - the difference is missing one PL away game.
I went to that game. Couldn't see anything as I was crammed into Upton Park. Think there was 42000 in a ground that today would not be allowed to hold half that. All i remember of the game was Leeds were in yellow! The match was shown on tv. 1972 I believe.
I remember Leeds warming up before the match - something that never happened in such an organised way in those days.
But as at the semis the losers do actually get prize money so that really is a cut of the receipts! also I think you will find the clubs get expenses incurred for the sale of the tickets!
You'll tell by the noise, same as the rest of us. These views are why we watch highlight shows having actually been to the game. You may also want to hire a Sherpa to carry your less than A4 size bag for you, the air is thin up there,
You must be virtually in my seat from the semi, it's a lucky seat, please don't ruin it. Might want to take a wipe though, it was very exciting!
Hi, I have three tickets available in the Watford end. Cat B - Block 551 row 4 seats 356/357/358. (Basically near the front of the top tier on the halfway line) If a genuine Watford fan on here wants them, please let me know, you can have the for face value. £115 each, I got offered corporate after buying them so don't need them.
Many thanks Jack5 for trying to help me out. Finger's crossed mate I owe you a beer or 10! And thanks to Ghost Of Barry Endean for the kind offer....nice one! COYH
And as the dust settles on my most stressful purchase of a ticket, it turns out Cat C didnt sell out. Am suprised, would love to see a breakdown of the cat C numbers of people who went to more than 2/5/10 etc in lst few years, theres clearly a massive drop off in there somewhere. What to talk about for 3 weeks instead... i think i remember someone saying lower tier and upper tier cant mix once they are in stadium?
I'm conditioned by years of watching Watford, full stop and so, even after this magnificent season of over achieving, I'm expecting a whopping defeat on the 18th. With this in mind, I've gone for the "behind the goal at the front so probably won't see anything at either end of the pitch" option. My reasoning is that if, by some miracle, we should win, I will experience all of the atmosphere and can watch the minor details of what the heck actually happened on the pitch on the box later (multiple times). If, as I expect, we are soundly beaten, I can soak up the atmosphere while it lasts and then, once the City goals start to go in, really appreciate the fact that I can't see any of them.
If all else fails I'll simply sit down and watch the person's backside in front of me. Still a preferable option - as long as they're not one of the beer/guinness fart culprits.
City took 30k to the FA Cup Semi-final on what was our 4th visit to Wembley this season. The FA Cup Final will be our 5th. City fans are from Manchester, we don't have London wages and we have travel and a lot of other games to pay for too. Your comments are a bit disrespectful. The ticketing issues should be uniting Watford and City fans, not dividing us. I think it's ridiculous that football fans are expected to pay £115 for a seat behind the goal and that concessions should pay £90. No one at City, apart from the odd idiot disrespects other football fans. Unlike most Premier League clubs, we have been in the lower divisions and most our supporters supported our team through 35 years without a trophy so your allegations of a snobby elitist football club is way out of line with who we are. Looking forward to the Cup Final and sharing the occasion with you.
Can agree with all that attitude. Most fans are normal, sensible people. And all have a few morons in their ranks. Except Luton obviously, as they’re all kohler dome loving maniacs.
Just a guess but i reckon these 1,500-2,000 extra seats might be in blocks 143 & 144 which were greyed out in the seat plan the club published https://www.watfordfc.com/sites/default/files/Screenshot-2019-03-19-at-19.15.38.jpg If i'm correct they will be category 1 £145 seats.
I respect your views, but if you look at professional football, all over the world, it’s lifeblood is money. The vast, vast majority of clubs have to plan, budget and form complex financial strategies to survive, never mind succeed and win trophies. Through no fault of yours, your club falls outside that category. By all means enjoy the success that unlimited Middle Eastern money brings to your club, but don’t be naive enough to expect that fans of other clubs who have to fret about securing money before they can consider spending it, should not question, dare I say, resent, the lack of financial limitations imposed on your club or the ethicality of the source of funds. I say this from a position whereby I am aware that fans of others clubs, who do not have the benefit of owners like ours, would question (or resent) the advantages that Watford Football Club have. I firmly believe that your recent influx of wealth is on a different stratosphere, however. Like it or not, your club is a different entity to the Man City of a decade ago. If the success of your club is leading to financial hardship for you and your fellow fans, with such regular trips to Wembley, perhaps you should consider making a compensation claim against the owners of your club. I hear they have a few bob. I do not wish or intend to agitate you. Indeed, I do agree with your views on ticket prices and your comments about looking forward to sharing the experience of the cup final with you and your fellow fans. A win for Watford against the colossus that is the present Man City, would be a real shot in the arm for the game, and provide hope to fans of non oil state sponsored clubs all over the country and beyond. Alas, that is an unlikely scenario, albeit possible.
