Any one been keeping up on the Copa America cup. It has been a sereis of well played games so far. and Mexico even beat Brazil abet a undermanned Brazil 2-0. Usa Plays today, with our jay on the roster and looking like he will get the start.

Poor Jay, he got to watch up close and personal from the center back spot as Crespo (2 goals), Aimar (goal), Tevez (goal), Messi (assist), Riquelme (assist) and Heinze (2 assists) shredded the US for 4 goals. There's a sad shot of Demerit three steps behind Tevez as he runs into score the 4th goal agaisnt the US. I think he got burned on goal #3, too.

This was the US team that will supply guys to the top team as it prepares ready for qualifying for the WC 2010. Usually it is referred to as the 'B team'. It was great experience for them, and I'm sure they'll grow from it, but ouch, what a wake up call from the Gold Cup ass kicking the A team gave Mexico last week.

    It builds character.

I tried to watch the game last night on sky sports but they only showed the other game instead :(

It was entertaining until halftime. The US went up 1-0 on a PK, then Arg. tied it, leaving it 1-1 at the halftime break.

The US adjusted seemingly at random (Gomez & Beckermann anyone?), and Argentina adjusted effectively (with Aimar & Tevez). Must be nice...

Though our guys didn't play badly, the US was simply outclassed in the second half.

    Argentina is really really good.

There were a few bright spots, but not many, and not Jay, sadly. He gets a crack at playing against Colombia next, I think. He'll likely start again.

The US Depth at Striker is weak even when they have the A Team out there, but they are really pulling at straws now to come up with some qulity subs
