Does anyone know if we have actually agreed a fee with Fulham to buy CJ at the end of his loan spell or its just a case of if Aidy actually wants to sign on a pernament basis?

I hope he hasn't agreed a fee...if he has I hope he doesn't sign him...we should be looking at better options elsewhere...starting again etc! We need to probably change our strike force and midfield around almost completey in the summer!

i hope he has agreed a fee, it can only be good, we arent obliged to pay it, but they are obliged to accpet it

I believe the fee has been agreed at around £35, or at least that is what Boughtons are going to charge to take the useless oaff back to Fulham.

So we spend time, money and effort getting him fit and sorting our his problems, but he's absolutely no use to us this season when we actually need him, and when we don't get promoted, we can't afford him. Nice work Boothroyd.

It's called a gamble. It's not really cost the club much so was worth a pop.

Was it really time for gambling. Spending a couple of months getting a mis-firing forward fit that we don't own?

So if it had have worked you'd still be saying it was a silly gamble? If so then fair enough. But if not you're just being fickle. There were hardly loads of other strikers out there. I'd agree it was silly if we'd have already paid £2m for him but at the end of the day it's no bother.

I have to say I have liked the few glimpses we have seen of him, and you never know he may yet be the person to provide the goals we need in the last 4 games?

We need a miracle :notworthy:, lets hope he proves to be it!!!

    I wonder if we'll see a John/Priskin lineup tomorrow....

If we can get John at least able to run, give him a run out 20 mins from the end to chase wins, could be a super sub. Be a pain in the rectum for tired defenders

Apart from cost us a replacement for Marlon King?!

Knowing that Leroy Lita was available for loan...why the hell didn't we try and sneak in there before Charlton?!

    Aidy's completley farked this up!

Pardew probably still has links at Reading giving him the inside track. I can't say I read anywhere that Lita was available for loan, though there was the odd rumour about summer moves and his discontent at being at a small club like Reading. To sneak in before an opponent you have to know the bloke's available.

Well even if he wasn't available in January he still went to Charlton on loan before the deadline in March...he still became available.

Aidy KNEW it would take John near on 5 weeks to get him fit...5 weeks we couldn't really afford to waste!

I stick by my opinion that he f**ked that one up.

I think Aidy is in a no win position here. If he took Lita on loan and he did not perform he would have taken barrel loads of abuse for having 2 on loan strikers unable to score a goal between them.

We have a big enough squad as it is. We need quality agreed but with a view to a perm deal

He may have been in a 'no win position' with a few morons that can't see past the end of their nose, but not myself.

I could have told you that Lita was a FAR better player than Collins ''I haven't played football for two years'' John!

Why? He could have gambled on Lita and NOT John, as he knew he was ready to play.

I also disagree with UEA. John has still cost us money in the same way Jackson etc have. We still pay there wages, so next season when we are still in the champ, and can't afford any new players, it will be beacuse all of our money has been wasted on the wages of wasters.

One gamble to many though? I'm personally sick of Hoofers taking punts on players, none of whom (King aside) come off.

On the other hand, even when he goes out for "safe" bets, he gets it wrong, with guff like Duck and Muff.
