That team selection is the equivalent of a tenant crapping on the living room carpet before eviction.

well we did a lot better than I thought. Can't complain about the effort tonight

The only thing that I thought we should have done was to bring a striker on when we scored our 2nd, not after 70 mins.

At least we had a go

  16. Amrobat awful, our CBs awful, our zonal marking awful, but at least we only lost 1 on the GD

Hull have to win 20-0 now don't they to catch us?

Well at least I enjoyed it! Haven't said that for a long while. Saw quite a few players out there who looked like they gave a damn. Some have said we don't have players you can 'connect' with. I feel Gomes, Prodl, Marriappa, Doucoure, Janmaat and Cleverly I can, hope they are all involved in next years plans (although wouldn't argue with a new GK)

Intriguing end of season game. I imagined when we got back to 3-3 that they'd get a late winner.

Our first was pretty lucky really. Second was a tremendous run from Janmaat. For once one of those runs came off. Third was well taken by Okaka. There's no doubt he's a very sharp and switched on striker.

Amrabat, amrabat, amrabat. Sorry old chap. It's not really working out, is it?

Amrabat hasn't got the brains god gave an amoeba, ridiculous ball out of defence to Capoue with Kante lurking.

We might have only been playing Chelsea reserves, but at least we put in a reasonable performance and probably deserved a draw.

We deserved a point there. Shame but ultimately meaningless. Can't criticise the overall performance however Capoue and Amrabat awful. It was fitting they cost us the draw really.

Can't say I was bothered. I laughed when every goal went in. In a way this was the worst possible result- not a glorious point or three, not a thrashing. Has Wally turned the corner? I hope not

It's very rare that I hate any player and I always try to be positive but I can't tell you how much I hate about Capoue .

Please can we sell him to Newcastle asap.

Well that was 3 goals better than expected really..

Who knows what might have happened had we been like that in attack before..

    Usual bad defending and discipline!

Weakened Chelsea team or not, at least we played some football and were positive. We pressed like a unit for the first time since Arsenal away which was good to see, and kept the ball on the floor for the most part.

Amrabat kills any kind of passing move that he gets involved in by taking too many touches and not knowing when to release the ball. Wouldn't be too bad if he could actually cross it himself or beat a player. That hospital pass at the end that led to their goal sums him up, just a brainless footballer. Okaka was bright again, should start on Saturday as Niang offered very little, and is rightly ahead of Deeney in the pecking order at the moment. Maybe Deeney will get the nod for an emotional send off though...

Oh and if none of the injured centre backs recover, we'll be playing Man City with only Mariappa available so that should be fun.

I feel strangely proud being a hornet after that... Best away attacking since Arsenal. Shame we got another red card. Quite looking forward to City .

On the upside no defenders available so we might as well attack City.

Decent game for entertainment. Amrabat Capoue and Niang all hopeless. Hope all three depart in the summer.

First goal was a gift, but then our poor marking was a gift for theirs. Defensive frailties are part and parcel of the game.

Why didn't we bring Okaka on until last knocking? And deeney sub was too late to have any purpose other than to show that Deeney is off if Walt stays and probably if he goes

Had the proper end of season, brakes off feel to the game until it boiled over at the end. I actially enjoyed the passion showed by our lads, getting involved in the handbags, however, how come Deeney and OkOkaka ooked but no Chelsea players? How come Bashuiyi or whatever wasn't booked for butting Prodl after Prodl fouled for his first booking? Arguably should be red even, for that reaction? Also how come there was no allowance for the additional delays during stoppage time? Ref clearly made an executive decision to wrap it up and let the party begin, but what if we'd nicked a point in the additional two minutes which should've been played? Could've been 2 places and 4m quid.

Couldnt agree more SLB. Amrabat takes the momentum out of any attack, and it just allows their defence fall back into position. I would much rather see Niang played on the right, with the aim of beating the first man and fizzing a ball into the box.

That performance is what is possible with a bit of enterprise and endeavour. Yes, we lost to a goal near the end, but for much of that game we had a chance. We even had more possession than Chelsea tonight and nine shots at goal. This is where Walter has let us all down. By playing so defensively for most of the season, he never really gave us a chance in most of our games.

    Another class performance from Doucoure.

Whilst I appreciate that Amrabat struggles against top opposition, he doesn't deserve the bile that I just witnessed in the shoutbox. He is a wholehearted player that gives everything, and has often the only player that has shown anything going forward in past games. Tonight he was up against one of the best players in the world in Hazard, it was obvious he was going to struggle at times. And was still isolated going forward, with often very little option than to try and beat top class defenders or pass it back.

Bile should be reserved for players that dont give a toss.

No. He's still as good or better than any of our alternatives. Despite his age and limited minutes, the passion he shows, the experience he plays with and his lack of any meaningful competition in the squad mean that he's a starter for me out of our current batch of central defenders. .

What's more, he was playing with zero protection today and still did ok.

No idea why anyone would single out Maps today for comment. Easily 5 players worse than him at least

Capoue is unlikable but has talent.
    Amrabat is likable but doesn't.

The big problem with Capoue is he coasts in games, will do some thing great then nothing for 20 minutes or go through a spell with lots of neat and tidy play and then give the ball away really really cheaply in a very dangerous position.
