A very good player for Newcastle who certainly knew how to put himself about and wasn't a bad footballer either. RIP - tragically young.
Dreadful news. Perhaps an undetected Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy? A friend of mine died from this at 21 in 1992. Played 2 tough singles matches in four hours,felt unwell and went to bed. Mum found her dead in bed next morning. Not always detected sadly.
Very sorry to hear this. 30 is no age at all, especially as I have a brother who is the same age - that really hits it home.
