Boring League two hoof it and hope game. Decent save from Tufat from the pen. End of season bore fest so far.

We are now mathematically safe! Frustrating for Brum who fail to take full advantage of Huddersfield getting battered at home, Sheffield Wednesday are now bang in with a chance

Big game at Blackburn today tomorrow.

This will definitely be our worst "Pozzo season". In 2013/14 we finished 13th with 60 points.

On a more positive note we achieved auto promotion the following season......

Cracking ball from Musaba (does he fancy playing right wing-back for us?) and Wednesday back in the lead, and back out of the bottom 3 for now!

Maybe the bounce of the ball did him a bit dirty, but I don't think he covered himself in glory for the first goal, and in general he's been a bit leaky this season

Wednesday out of the bottom 3 for the first time since August, Blackburn and Plymouth well and truly back in the dogfight, and that result also means that whatever happens next weekend, the battle will go down to the final day

Speaking of dodgy keepers, I thought Allsop was crap yesterday.

Got away with it a few times with his passing out from the back too, which must be what he's in the team to do, because he's not the best shot-stopper in the league, all the more disappointing that we couldn't test him more

Fantastic win for Sheff Wed. Really drags Blackburn into it (although it would mean Plymouth and Brum need improvements for them to be in any serious danger. Speaking of Brum they drop back into the bottom three again a point adrift of safety. It's on them and a confidence shot Udders' to take the mantle.

2 out of Sheffield Weds, Huddersfield and Birmingham to go down which are pretty big clubs to join Div one!

Brum haven't been in the 3rd tier in about 30 years, but they've diced with death on multiple occasions! Huddersfield have been in at least the second tier for 11 seasons, have finished 16th or lower in 7 of them, which is impressively **** considering they reached the playoff final on 2 occasions and were in the Prem for 2 further seasons

The fact that Birmingham and Huddersfield play each other next week is massive. Whoever wins that (if there is a winner of course) most likely stays up. But as we all know too well, the final day can be full of twists and turns if you have something to play for. Personally I think it’ll stay as it is. If it’s a draw then Brum will go above SW due to their significantly better goal difference but that’s also dependent on Wednesday vs West Brom.

A lot of possible outcomes. The top of the league is not as close but still could throw some surprises. Would be hilarious if Southampton manage to finish above Leicester, despite Leicester starting the new year 17 points clear of third.

Yes people on here really do forget the likes of Pears and Allsop are commonplace when it comes to Championship goalkeepers, while they try and label Bachmann as sub-standard dog-5hit.

Pears is mediocre at this level, Allsop I can only presume is usually good with the ball at his feet, because his shot-stopping stats have been among the worst in the division over the last few years. Bachmann has consistently been a good shot-stopper over the 3 seasons he's had at Champo level, it's the rest of his game which is shaky, we all have our opinions on whether his shot-stopping is enough to overcome his frailties. I highly doubt he's going anywhere, which I can accept, but with Hamer likely off, I would like us to bring in a new GK who can challenge him for the #1 jersey rather than just be happy to sit on the bench, I think his best form for us has been when he's had a point to prove

Not looking likely with Southampton blowing a 1-0 lead at an average Cardiff side and a chance to really get back in the automatic promotion race even with Leicester winning.

Not taking anything away from Wednesday, they've done really well to get themselves out of the relegation zone after such an abysmal start, but they have been helped by Huddersfield and Brum being in really bad form lately (Swansea have been in good but not spectacular form and you wouldn't expect a team supposedly fighting for their lives to concede four goals at home to them without reply). I wonder if it was so wise for either of Wednesday or Huddersfield to get rid of Darren Moore, even though Port Vale have just been relegated under him?

  32. Hogg-DEENEY!!!

    Hogg-DEENEY!!! Squad Player

Yeah Brum and Huddersfield have been bad, but it's par for the course for relegated teams, in fact Brum are already on 46 points, so it will need at least 47 points to stay up.
Moore had a wretched record with them, Breitenreiter actually has a slighter better PPG at the moment even though you can hardly say he's got a 'new manager bounce'. Apart from Warnock who bizarrely left them in September, their best manager this season has been their caretaker, who got 2 wins in 4 games including a battering of rivals Wednesday and pushed two promotion chasing teams hard in the other two

Don't want to let Brum off the hook tooooo much, but they did have the bad fortune for Tony Mowbray to fall ill just when it was looking like they'd turned a corner, Mark Venus was hopeless as #1, and Gary Rowett has had mixed results. They are quite a nice team, and they play decent football at times (should have got something against us!), so I can see why Mowbray got a tune out of them when others haven't

It’s only just struck me that Birmingham have beaten our record by going through five managers in one season. Personally I think they deserve to go down just for sacking John Eustace in favour of Rooney.

Having had a nice run under Clev from Brum onwards where (apart from Southampton where we wuz robbed) we've done a fine job of ruining everyone's seasons, now we will finish the season with two absolute beach-fests against Sunderland and Boro...
