Chambers On His Way Back

Sounds like it was quite a nasty injury and much worse than originally thought.

Hopefully he'll be back by the end of the month. Maybe if all goes according to plan a sub appareance against Ipswich could be in the offing.

 

That's good news, I feel we have missed his pace a little at times

 

I think we have missed him. Mariappa has tried hard but he is not used to RB and is only a youngster.

Chambers had been doing really well since returning from loan.

 

Lets hope he can regain that kind of form straight from the off. Agree about Mariappa. I think he's certainly jumped ahead of Llyod in the right back stakes but he's far from the finished article. In an ideal world we would send him out on loan but I think we need his as cover as he can play two positions.

Has Chambers signed a new contract yet? I coulda sworn he was out of contract this summer...

 

I agree, a very good player in my opinion, nice to see him returning soon...

mariappa has looked solid in the tackle but completely at sea going forward, looks scared sometimes and he drifts out of position something chronic leaving quality wide players with too much room.

good news if chambers is back, he was showing some real form til newcastle.

 

its great news chambers is back marriappa isnt a natural right back so it will be good to have someone back who actually plays there

Lets hope he is back sooner rather than later.

One benifit has been for Mariappa gaining experienc, he couldn't of been doing that bad as he has kept Doyley out of the team.
