I think the blame for their goal is equally shared out. Indecisive goalkeeping and poor defending to boot.

It wasn’t costly so one we got away with - about time!

Please, can we keep the next matchday thread on topic and not have have it infected by the silliness which has crept into this one. ;)

Think he took crosses well this week as there were a lot put in, but both last week and today he spilled one and caught it after the bounce which is something he needs to cut out sharpish. The fact he holds it takes the pressure off the defence to clear it afterwards which was big and he's also an excellent time waster as much as we might not want to admit that. He was caught trying to push past both the defender and their attacker for their goal and think he most resposible for that. It was however a good cross and header and that can't be ignored. As bizzare as this might sound, I felt Gomes was safer with crosses in; not because he held them but you knew if he went for one he'd get a solid punch on it to get it away, although as per earlier I fully accept that over the course of a game puts more pressure on the defence.

His kicking was mixed this week (In the warm up he was consistently missing his target) but it was at least the same level as Gomes' at worst. Whether it was the rain or otherwise he didn't look comfortable distributing it from feet this week. Against Brighton his kicking was top draw and is the level he should be held to.

His save for the Free Kick was good but expected at this level and the save which Holebas did superbly well to block was also good. He couldn't have parried it anywhere else nor was his positioning poor for it as he can't afford to move across further and expose the near post as a target. Hasn't been overly tested with shots on target as of yet so will withold judgment. Get the feeling Gomes is a superior shot stopper but that's not to discredit what Foster.

A funny little note with Foster is he's always moving in his box doing a stretch or two or otherwise something. Whether this helps with concentration, keep him from seizing up or just a quirk of his doesn't really factor into things. Miss Gomes' celebrations though.

I thought he was a little bit iffy yesterday , didn’t know why he took the ball out of the box and started running up the pitch, if he had lost it he would have been ****ed

I also wonder if the problem in then first half was partly Foster, in the 1st game and 2nd half yesterday all of his kicks were on the mark going to our players, in the 1st half everything was going to Burnley , don’t know if this was fosters kicks or our midfield

Something will give eventually. Possibly the England job? Lets be honest if Southgate can do it, he probably could!

Just the last week's rain which has brought a few lush patches. All the raking out has been back breakingly done by manual rake.

What do you reckon the press reaction will be if action is taken?
Dyche will probably claim Success tried to grab Lowton by the studs:confused:

I haven't heard anyone mention it on the radio or on SSN.
Plenty of talk about Hughes and Dyche burbling on and on. Kenedy will face no action but 'Isaacgate' seems invisible to the outside world.

Was it on MOTD2? These things only gain traction if the pundits talk about them.

Or that Success shouldn't have been on the pitch for some random reason.

Don't recall it being mentioned although I was trying to blot out everything Ince was saying.

The phrase "Orange Card" was agreed upon...TBF they were exceptionally complimentary about the up-front pairing of Deeney and Gray.

I just watched Dyche's post match press interview and he asks whether or not the 4-4-2 formation is 'allowed'. Why would it not be allowed?

Throwing used washing up water on the lawn, instead of down the sink helps too. The washing up liquid does no harm, and if you have leatherjackets it helps to control them aswell.

What a strange squeeky little voice Ince has got for a big lad. It's hard to concentrate on what he's saying as a result

We got bigged up almost right away in a discussion of Manure's collapse at Brighton. The gullshit-splattered stripeys having previously of course, amazingly, lost to "the likes of Watford".

As for our game, they gave us pretty good praise. They liked the speedy/bulldozer combination of Gray/Deeney up front (the same combination over which WFC fans on Twatter were slashing their wrists and predicting certain relegation a fortnight ago).

Little Murph liked Doucoure's pass for Troy's goal. He said not many midfielders could do that. He said Watford fans had been more worried about holding onto Doucs than big nose Charlie. The little head balanced precariously on top of Ince's huge bloated balloon of a body nodded in solemn agreement.

    Then onto Saturday's goals....

    Just seen the extended highlights.

Prior to the Lowton stamp, It looks like Tarkowski was having a bit of a joke at Success' expense, Bailey incident related perhaps?

If Lowton preceded his foul with the phrase "do you collect stamps," I think it can be dismissed as Bantz.

1-3 to WFC, is my guess. Gray, Deeney and Hughes.

One of the best away performances I can remember. I dont think we were particularly outplayed in the first half either. Yes they huffed and puffed and lashed the ball forward a lot but I never once experienced the fear I had at most aways last season.

I think the gurning simpleton is no more. From now on it's Don Javi (until we lose).

    It's a conspiracy I tell you.....From Football 365 :

Burnley have so far this season drawn 0-0 at Southampton and lost 3-1 at home in the Premier League, as well as coming through two-legged qualifying ties against Aberdeen and Istanbul Basaksehir in Europe.

    Spot the missing team.

Another 3-1 defeat for the Clarets last night. If their loss to us was the 'Europa effect' does that make this one the 'Watford effect'?
