Having spent 4 years down there at university and having a soft spot for them, I am glad that they have finally got permission to build a new stadium next to the universities in Falmer. Hazel Blears has given the approval but Lewes council have 6 weeks to put in yet another challenge before they can start to look into hiring contractors etc. http://www.seagulls.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/StadiumDetail/0,,10433~1077727,00.html This has rumbled on for over 10 years now, hope it finally gets sorted. They have had 3 public enquiries, yet Arsenal and Liverpools stadium have had none.
While being at university I have been on a few trips to footy matches around the country with a uni mate who supports Brighton and he always moans about the stadium problems. I am glad that he can now shift his attention onto moaning about how cr*p his team is ;D
