I thought I'd give these a try as it's the only Hertfordshire club in the Conference South/North Divisions, things have gone very well, I had no money to spend what so ever but a nice stadium to keep the cash flowing around. So I signed a few players on a free that looked to have decent potential to fulfil in the future, Ryan Luffman being the keyman, he clearly has random stats in the pre-edited database but this guy has been immense for me, he scored 50 in his first season and fired us to the league title with ease, won it in February and won all but two games. Of course after that stint, he was the subject of several bids from the leagues above, Crewe came knocking with £500,000 which I turnt down and then Watford bidded £800,000. Thanks to a lovely new feature the chairman bloody accepted it and overruled me because it was so much cash, I offered Luffman a new contract hoping he'd opt to stay and he did but it broke my bank, Watford came back with a £900,000 offer and he accepted the Hornets, but the deal fell through as Watford completed about 6 other signings on the same day and lacked the cash. So up to the Conference we are, I accidently released about 40 players from the team who were out of contract and had 6 players come June, a mass signing was needed and it has worked well, I've got some nice Championship/League One names in the team like Marc Bridge Wilkinson, Gavin Strachan, Dominic Blizzard and Michael Proctor, along with the team I had and some squad fillers we've taken the league by storm, approaching January I am yet to lose a game, I've won 21 in 21 in the league and am into the FA Cup 3rd Round with a cash rewarding tie away to Man City, knocked out League One Swindon in the round before. Cash is going good too, got a nice consistent set of fans coming and have generated over £800,000 in the past season and a half. I'll let you know what happens in the future every so often!
