We have been consistent because of one man. His name begins with R and ends with N. If he gets injured we will go back to being bang below average.
I'm not so sure - they'd take 1 as a starting point and try to nick the other 2; featuring Crouch and Shakiri. And Shawcross to kick Richarlison up in the air?
So Pereyra out for a week or two the Wobby implies . If we stick with 343 it ll be Carillo in straight swap for Pereyra . If Kaboul or Prodl fit then maybe Britos will get replaced . Unless Silva place importance on having a left footed CB then Mariappa will unluckily make way . If we revert back to 4231 , we'll prob see Capoue back alongside Docoure and Cleverley with Carillo replacing Pereyra on wing .
Why does Marco insist we have 5 at the back... Every match/proportion of match where we have 4 at the back has shown that we perform better (i.e. 2nd half against Arsenal and first half against Swansea)
I think he try’s to match the oppositions shape, sometimes it will work, sometimes not but it’s good to know we are capable of changing shape I reckon! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
It's not 5 at the back though is it? It's 3-4-3. And we were mullering Chelsea with it for half an hour.
I really hope that we play well again and if we do we'll be OK. Stoke are playing rubbish but they aren't rubbish players. Hope we don't get Cleverly to mark Crouch at corners. When is Prodl back??
It's not a back 5. And if it means we get to see Femenia and Pereyra combining down the right then I want more of it because that was glorious.
I think having Britos with Kabbs and Mapps makes us stronger in defence because the later two aren't good enough by themselves!
Well I think it's essentially 3 center backs with two wing-backs pushed further up the field to be a part of the midfield. So it's basically a mix up of a 3-4-3 and a 5-2-3 depending on the positioning of the wing-backs. I could be wrong though
He is a stunning player but I think we would still be a decent if slightly less exciting team without him
For " Most Important Match" we're still only on page 2. Let's hope the players don't look upon it in the same way....
watching re-runs of his goals with us recently: Some of his goals were finishes as good as practically any I've ever seen at Vicarage Road. There has to be something wrong and I think it was in his head, attitudinal or something.
oi, leave gray alone, he's averaging 1 goal every 500 minutes at the moment so he's due a goal in 5 or 6 games time against Utd or Spurs.
If we’re still in the top 10 In January, Gino surely must recall Vydra from his loan spell and send Gray to Derby for the rest of the season. It’ll give us that extra push we need to the European places and help Gray get his mojo back.
Gray seems to be a bit of a marmite character to people on this forum. Posters either love him or hate him. It’s black or white, no shades between............
