One thing I've noticed with the big(gish) ones is that once made, any stored coffee gets cold very quickly - that's why stepping down to a smaller model wasn't a drag.

The coffee they make is fantastic as it's made by pressurised steam (> 100 oC) not boiled water (<100 oC).

Usually I'm a lazy git so I often make instant coffee, Nescafe Clasico is quite tasty but I'm not sure in which countries it is available. In the US independent coffee roasting is a big deal, I try to buy roasts made by local independents and small chains and like bringing them back with me from trips. Some of the best stuff I've ever had was from a roasters in Toronto called Balzac's, worth checking out if you're ever up there. Caribou from Minnesota is also very good as is Stumptown from Portland, Oregon. I still drink quite a bit of Starbucks, bought whole-bean then ground and brewed at home. They've always got a great Christmas blend.

For sheer laziness all I need to do is turn it on and press the button related to the type of coffee I want. I may need to get the milk caraffe out of the fridge or course.
