Where would you spend the wednesday night? Brum or Birkenhead? It's like asking if you'd rather be deaf or blind.
When I'm unable to watch the game I just switch off of everything, I'll log on here at about 9:30 once it's all over. This is the most nerve racking match this season, I was confident of beating Muff but as bad as Villa are, they are better than Muff and playing a noisier stadium.
Would have to be Brum I suppose because of travelling time, but an early morning departure to New Brighton would not go down too badly.
Aye the wirral is actually quite aesthetically pleasing. Shame about the absolute mutants that live there.
We really should win this one but we will miss Sarr, point-blank-range air-shots and all. Not only is he a game-changer in his own right, he also takes a load off Delofeu's shoulders. I think Pearson will probably replace him with Pereyra; but if he fades or doesn't perform I wonder if Pussetto will get a good chunk of action. Not only nerve-racking but interesting, this game.
Based on the itk insider knowledge of the forum, it looks like the line up is gonna be something along the lines of: Dahlberg Rice Pussyman Whelan Masina Chalobah Capoue Doucoure Gray S Kabba Pereyra Feeling optimistic we can pull of a smash and grab with these lads. However if this line up isnt working at half time, there's stiltons of time for NP to bring on M Suarez and Iriney to win the midfield battle and Geijo up front to knock em in for fun! I'm alao hoping Gary Plumley is given the chance to return to Villa park after his unforgettable performance there on his last appearance as Watford's #1
This season is playing havoc with my nerves. I told my doctor that I'm a Watford supporter and he immediately handed me a script for beta-blockers. I'm still nervous as hell but at least my heart has stopped racing
It used to be that our players did not turn up for a cold night up norf , I really hope that Big Nige has got them insulted underwear
this has to be more important than any game coming up, win and we score 3 points but we also damage one of our relegation rivals - need a full strength team
Joao Pedro has posted some bits on his social media from a hotel room and now a preview of the game - I’m thinking he may be in the squad - at the expense of Gray?
Hopefully Pedro can get his first goal tonight for the club. Attacking bench indeed... even Gray needs some encouragement I guess.

Only 4 of AV team from first game start and 4 of their bench from first game start. Plus 3 others of course!
Line up as expected. Nice to see Joao Pedro on the bench because I’ll assume that means he’s impressed Pearson enough to earn it. Huge game. Extraordinarily nervous.
It’s a big game, but there’ll be another 14 to try and win. Don’t lose and it’s a big advantage to us, but this is a long old fight.
Welbeck is close to making a return, but I do not know if that means Everton at the Vic? He may need a few more light training sessions to prove his fitness. Be interesting to see if Pearson tries a different formation with Welbz and Deeney up front as a pair? Just a thought.
