how come we never seem to get any arsenal youngsters on loan, it would be fairly easy for arsene to monitor their progress seeing as we train next door each other
They play football at Arsenal. Sending players to Watford would undo the good work of the Aresnal youth setup
Personally I think it's because of the style of play we have. Why would Wenger send players to a team who, generally, lump it forward at every opportunity when his teams pass the ball for fun? IF Aidy is serious about changing our style to a more pass friendly game then maybe, just maybe, we could take one or two of their younger players.

Absolute zero. And the chance of us getting ANY Arsenal players isn't much better unless we start to play decent football.
Not so good right now but if I remember correctly Wenger was about to send him on loan in February, but changed his mind because of all the injuries.
Oh quit it, like Wenger (or anyone else) will actually think "nah, Watford playing direct so I won't send my youngsters there". The style of football is largely coloured by the players who are actually playing. Do you think Adam Johnson deteriorated as a footballer while he was here?
I know what you're saying Hartvix and I know mine is a simplistic way of looking at it but I do think our style of play has some baring on why we haven't had any Arsenal players since Aidy came (that I can remember). I'm not saying we have to play like Arsenal, just attempt to play some football. It's either that, Aidy has seriously pi**ed off Wenger somehow or Boothroyd just doesn't want them!
We got Eagles and Johnson playing this way, so there is no reason why we couldn't get any more. Players are loaned purely for experience. I wouldn't want us to get a player purely because he is from Arsenal anyway. I want decent players, not just Arsenal rejects JUST because they are from Arsenal. Arsenal youngsters are used a lot anyway, so they loan them less.
that is true but they only usually get a run in the league cup and thats a maximum of 5 or 6 games, my thinking would be it would be better to give them a full season's experience rather than a few games. they do have some decent young english talents who will probably never get a look in for their 1st team. this is just speculation anyway
Oh quit it !! Behave ha ha Wenger only tends to send his players to fellow Prem teams. He doesn't like the physical side of the Champ and doesnt want his players getting sliced in half.

I spoke to a mate who is a good source at the club. Apparently Aidy borrowed Wenger's hair straighteners, over the fence between the training grounds and has never returned them. Wenger will not lend anything else to Aidy now.
