i do, im normally not very good but we had a game tonight and i hit 40* :biggrin: but got abit slapped on my bowling... but i actually got some runs for once... and it helped that one of their spinners just tossed it straight up for the slog:]] so anyone else play cricket? anyforms count... garden cricket especially which is a top sport.
As it happens, ironically, I played cricket tonight for the first time in about 5 years. Had a net at my mates club and have already been 'scouted' into the 2nd team! I bowled some tidy left arm spin this evening (ripping the skin off my index finger in the process) and had a solid bat in the net. All in all a decent return to the game! Good effort with the 40* Woody! If I can bag a 50 at some point this season that'll do for me!
i would like to repeat how bad the spinners were, hilarious how they put it on a plate for you. basically we reversed the order today but the other team didnt know and they thought oh look the tailenders are here, but they were our openers. my mate jack come in and had to face the spinner, some other players on the oppo were like a tail ender, send him back... shocking spin bowl, smacked some distance. some of my fave shots i played were a rocking on the backfoot cut and attacking sweep against the spinner, both going for 4.:]]
I tell you it's awkward getting south of the river. There's only three bridges around here that cross it and they're mostly always busy.
