Arrived in sunny Blackpool, yes sunny, not rainy, as predicted by someone immitating Michael Fish. Checked into our hotel 'The Colris' (Colditz), which was close to The Manchester pub, right on the prom. Dumped bags in room and headed off for a quick livener before going back to get changed - never made it back until about 3:30am. First port of call was flogging beer at £1.30 a pint, so it would have been rude no to. next bar, a two floor affair, had a glass floored dancefloor on the second floor - saw some excellent moves by the young brass strutting their stuff. Visited quite a few other bars in the vicinity and then met up with the TH crowd in The Auctioneer for a few beers before returning to the centre of town - with Paddy in tow, he didn't last too long poor luv - apparantly pacing himself for Sunday - yeah right! Anyway, did a few more pubs and ended up in Rumours, before heading back to some old girls hotel for a few extra late drinks - back at Colditz for about 3:30. Breakfast was just about edible before a quick top up before heading back to the Auctioneer for more. The place was rammed with Watford - almost missed the kick-off, kind of wished I had. Missed Smudgers goal, due to texting my lad to tell him of Hendo's demise. didn't miss the celebrations though - good fun had by all. got back to Cam,bridge in 3 hours to catch the end of the locals May Day beer festival. Good jaunt, even my Spurs mate enjoyed it!
