The Hornets have been tipped for the drop since day one following their play-off success over Leeds last year. Watford are currently 10 points adrift from Wigan at the foot of the table and Boothroyd is wary of putting too much pressure on his side. The ex-Leeds coach believes if his players go out and enjoy themselves and fight for everything, they will retain their top-flight status come May. "I'm not going to get caught up in the pressure of saying it's a must-win game or that it's do-or-die," he said about Saturday's trip to fellow strugglers West Ham. "We are not expected to get anything. We are the underdogs, as we have been since day one of the season. "From now until the end of the season people are going to see a Watford team playing with smiles on their faces and trying to win every single match. "If they do that and I do that then we will be in the Premiership next year. I have no qualms about that."
