C+P from Sky Sports website. It's probably Andrews. MK TO UNVEIL ‘EXCITING’ TRANSFER MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has revealed the club will announce a new signing on Thursday – and he’s very excited about it. Robinson told MKNews: “There will be another player here by Thursday hopefully, and this is the one I’ve wanted. “I’m excited by unveiling him.”
Just been chatting to a MK Dons fan on twitter and they said they've been led to believe it is a more attacking player. They think it's a winger or striker and the Andrews deal looks dead due to his wages.
No I didn't, I said Andrews could be the signing that was suggested then got talking to a MK Dons fan who said it wasn't so I deleted my tweet as not to mislead others.
The WO reported last week that MK Dons had to match our valuation of Andrews to terminate the loan from Bolton. I suppose that may mean we do value Andrews in some sort of regard and him coming back here is a remote possibility if he doesn't get another move.
I think it means that the club don't want to be footing most of the bill for him to be playing for MK, nothing more. We're not a soft touch and the owners are making sure they don't pay through the nose for the privilege of Andrews not being here..
We should just terminate Andrew's contract with us on the basis of his behaviour. Good bye and F off.
I'd imagine that there announcement on Thursday will be a replacement for Benik Afobe. So I'd imagine someone on loan from a premiership club.... That doesn't mean that would not be interested in signing Andrews. However, if you remember prior to the Pozzo takeover the average salary at WFC was bwteen 2k - 3k /week. I can't imagine MK Dons paying Andrews more than 5k / week.
Oh I know that, I wasn't inferring that anyone expected MK Dons to pay Andrews close to what Burnley pay Ings... I wouldn't have a clue what some of our players are earning, but I'd imagine that it's significantly better that what we were paying players under B******i A friend of mine was mates with Don Cowie's brother, he was earning around the £1,300/week. It's no wonder he was happy to accept a contract elsewhere. I'm only saying that league 1 wages must be close to what we were paying back then. This will make it difficult for Us and MK Dons to make a deal unless Andrews accepts less than he's contractually obliged to earn.
But if we don't get shot in this window, we will be paying his salary til May 100%. I'd imagine we also have an obligation to let him train - not necessarily with the first team - which would not be good. I'd say do a deal with Dongs if there is no other strong interest - recoup whatever we can.
Barry Barry Barry - that is far too sensible!! We either need to patch things up and play him or move him on and recover what we can - unless someone at the club has a reason to think his loan value will increase in the next few days we should get what we can
Spurs signing Dele Alli might give MK Dons the cash they need for Andrews well hopefully anyways be good to end that saga
It was only half the teams beginning with B blackburn, Bolton and Birmingham not Bournmouth or Brentford have I missed any oh yes Brighton
