And why is he low on confidence? Because he not only cannot score, he keeps missing absolute sitters and his all round game is abysmal
Its a confidence thing. The light switch thing. Lack of game time. All in my opening post. And Richarlison has missed bigger sitters than that this season. Gray had to dink it over the keeper today, instead he smashed it on target at the keeper. But due to everything I said in my opening post he made the wrong choice.
Watched the game with the old man. After the miss he said, 'a steaming pile of horse **** would be better than Gray and would have scored that'. It was hard to disagree.
He is a 2m pound player hyped into an 18m signing because that's football innit. He needs to get relegated so he can start scoring again. Pisspoor striker
One of those chances when a player is through on goal and you're just waiting for him to run over to his own fans with his hands cupped to his ears.
He couldn’t get off the pitch quick enough today, literally the first player off. Hope the sc*mmer never offends my eyes again and we loan him to Reading or Sunderland ASAP
You are entitled to your own opinion. But you dont know him or how he operates. He may be full of confidence and never drops it, you just do not know and are assuming. He is a crap player, that i know from my own eyes and statistics. A good striker doesn't play crap due to a dip in confidence and miss sitters. He has never been prolific unless scoring penalties. Stop defending him based on assumptions, but on merit which is earned.
How can a striker who has become 3rd choice by their manager be full of confidence? lol, that is funny.
Hopefully a desperate champ club with more money than sense can be fooled into taking him off our hands for £10m in Jan or next summer
Even Gray isn’t that dumb. If he’d done that after all that’s happened he would have been rightly booed by his own fans.
We just don't know yet because he hasn't scored enough times to have a representative sample worthy of statistical analysis.
I thought he did well to get into position.. and it wasnt a miss people. His effort was on target and in fact it was a good stop by their keeper. Overall he's been rubbish though.
If he cups his hands to his - er - ‘fans’ after his next goal, then even I will boo him. And I don’t boo our players.
In other words there is no chance of it ever happening. Especially after Blunderland offer us £10M. Please make it happen......
Hardly knee jerk to judge Gray after more than half a season of proving that he's abject. If he's low on confidence it's the one good thing about him. If he was confident in his own ability he'd be delusional
Good thing Andre Gray isn't up for auction. He would never make his reserve price......Which currently is the combined value of Troy Deeney's empty KFC box and an illustrated guide to the basic principles of Association Football......
actually thought this one was a good save vs missing a sitter. He’s not to the standard of what we need but nor is Deeney, Okaka, Sinclair, Success Nor are most of our defence The cost of the squad rehaul needed to make us a competent top 10 team will amount to 75m+ (including keeper, 2defenders, 2 midfielders, 2 attackers)....can’t see us getting much more than 30m for those outgoing
https://twitter.com/Razza_7/status/947146889304199169/photo/1 Are we sure he's not actually doing it on purpose?
I had held off saying anything negative about him before today but Jesus wept, this Luton clown cannot play another minute for us. Count our losses and sell him for whatever we'll get and move on. First down the tunnel at FT was the icing on the cake.
It wasn't his fault we lost today. The starting lineup had over an hour to see off Swansea today but the performance was poor before the subs.
What is funny is that you don't realise there are different people out there who have different coping mechanisms. Some of us dont have confidence issues, Gray may also be like that. Unless you are on the spectrum then you must realise everyones mentality is different. Also if being dropped to 3rd choice is the thing that has dropped his confidence then how do you make uo for him being **** when first choice at the start.
I didn't say it was his fault, I agree with your comment however had he finished his 1 v 1 then surely the game was finished.
I would like to post on here but I lack confidence in knowing whether or not it is a lack of confidence or lack of skill that besets poor Mr Gray. So I won't post. No no, I will post. Oh no I better not. Oh perhaps I will.
The game would have been finished if we had gone 2-0 ahead AT ANY POINT. There is no way that Swansea team would have scored two goals after that.
