Stoke have signed Ameobi from Newcastle . That is a massive coup for them. We could have done with him.
While i agree with you based on his ability matey, he plays less games than Michael Owen does because of injury. So no thank you.
I also believe that is a good move by Stoke. I think he could make a big difference with no real risk.
Could be the difference. So what if he gets injured, he's on loan. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Excellent target man
It's simple with Shola, get the ball into his feet he's a very good player, lump in high to him he'd struggle to win it in the conference. He's a good target man when you give it to his feet, he's strong and can hold onto it. I have no idea who plays up front for Watford at the moment, but I can imagine Collins John and Shola being a very decent partnership. That's based on John in the prem I don't know how he's got on since his move to Watford. (Probably absolute **** seeing as I've said that.)
***** sake, how people can turn their noses up at him is beyond belief, given the right opportunities he'd tear this league apart.
how anyone can look down their noses at ameobi with our current strike force i dont know hes better than all of them
I did hear Stoke paid something like 750k in a loan fee and want to get him for 1 million if they go up.
There is no way they'd have paid that much money for a six week loan (or however long it is). £1,000,000 if they go up is good business though! If he can stay fit he'll do well there!
Well Roeder was quoted as sawying that he'd also wanted to bring Ameobi on loan, but was astounded when he heard the fee Stoke had offered for him.
Papers said they'd paid up to £1 million for the loan and that he is the most expensive loan. Will be good buisness if they go up, but i wonder how they will pay for it if they don't... Personally i think he's good a lot to prove, especially with his injury problems - will be interesting to know if the 'season loan' includes play-off dates, i'd assume it would but can anyone confirm?
