Whenever I see that us & other clubs are linked with a player I just know that we won't be signing them.

 

we aren’t skint our spending has merely been recalibrated against the position the club is in. Post Covid there isn’t a great deal of money about anywhere outside of the elite.

 

We are "relatively" skint due to the financial position the club is in. In the prem we could only buy players that the top and mid tier prem sides weren't interested in. Now we can only buy if the sides relegated from the prem or other richer champ clubs aren't interested.

It depends on what you definition of skint is? If we are skint so is the majority of the EFL.

 

The last accounts show us in a poor position. Maybe they will be good to their word and manage to pay down external debt over the 2 years but if they do I can’t see how that tallies with us bringing in 6+ quality additions as you have said. Can’t do both.

Plenty of EFL clubs are bringing in players but we don’t have a penny to spend. Hopefully it is due to debt repayment and not the alternative that they have bankrupted us and we are living hand to mouth.

Whether we sell Asprilla will be telling imo.

 

The majority of the Championship, if not the EFL, have richer owners who can absorb the eye-watering debt their clubs have though

Well he scored again last night. From what the media are saying that he's definitely off this window and are looking at 5m, GBP not NOK. Saying that Burnley and Sheffield United are also sniffing around. So can safely say this isn't happening.

 

Personally if it means we can start trading I’d sell Asprilla as I think his value in potential is higher than the value that he can currently offer the team. I wouldn’t want to but IF needs must ….

This is accurate however they made a lot of their money by taking minimal risk so in our case their loans are fully secured by both parachute money and transfer fees due- both of which have to be paid to them and not the club or other creditors if we went under. They are not known as the vampire kangeroo for nothing
