Achhhrington Stanley? Meerrdah?

Two of the most closely related phrases associated with Liverpool have come together today.

The lad who said "Acchhhrington Stanley? 'Ooo are day?" In a broad Scouse accent in that milk advert back in the 1980s, has today been convicted of beating someone to death and sentenced to a lengthy prison sentence.

We can suppose that on being told that he was being arrested for murder, he responded with that other famous Scouse TV catchphrase...."Meeeerdah??"
