    I'll throw in my 2 bob .
Whilst the technical ability and game intelligence has improved at all levels from Dog & Duck FC to Citeh because of amongst other things the ease of gaining information these days , the game remains the same as do the scorelines , except Sheff Utd perhaps !!.
Years ago everyone marvelled at the Cruyff turn and now the lowliest Sunday morning left back appears to have mastered this . Also whilst teams attacking play and individual tricks have blossomed so has individual and team defensive play cancelling out a Ronaldo chop from a lumbering no. 10 on a Sunday morning.
So , yes, the game is technically better but has remained the same as all facets of the game have improved except maybe our strikers !!

I think the side look traumatised and a bit shell shocked at the start of games. Whatever he's showing or telling them, he needs to stop it or change it to a more positive and motivational action. <insert rude interpretation of what that might be here>*

    (please don't) :p

Those stats above are utterly shocking, we’ve only been ahead for 15% of our matches, another win for the championship will be fun brigade!

Basically a lot of words to say that we can't start quickly because we can't go long and play off the front man as we are unable to gain good possession thus have to wait until the other team score or are level at h/t in which case the opposition sit back and try to hold on to what they have which in turn invites pressure from us .
On another but not unrelated point , if you can solve 1 issue then that in turn can remedy other issues .
