well lee it looks that way as things stand. they are due for another conference call at 9.oo am wed. the f a, and all tv firms involved.
what ever the kick off time is im sure we will all have a great day i know for a fact that i will be doing two things loads of drinking and loads of singing and once we beaten them back to the one bell for more drinking and partying
Decided to put my 'orns where my mouth is... Tell you what Arfer - I'll give you 150 'orns if it ends up being Saturday evening (ie after 5pm) ;D
Fair enough you got the right time, apologies if im wrong here but tbh i didnt see you having the right date! your bbc source was wrong, nobody should listen to rumours no matter how trusting the data is coming from. Anyway it doesnt really matter, atleast we know the date time for sure now.
Absolute joke. Apparently we were offered a very early Saturday kick off but declined due to travel concerns, which left us with only one option 6pm Sunday. No one gives a f@@k about bloody paddies or Sweaties chasing an egg! Put the Rugby on BBC2 and us at 12.30 on BBC1 (saturday)
It's ridiculous. Apart from Plymouth and Watford fans no-one else wants to watch the match so don't even bother to televise it and play it at a decent time

Adapting on some of Jobrs fa payments post, it reminds me how much money in football can and has changed the game and the fa cup. We could have had the game without tv, and just highlights or commentary etc. That wouldn't really had effected the k.o and date. But actually reflecting on the money matters, Plymouth will be raking it in as its their home game... Radio 5 live commentary 9k, highlight 18k, full match broadcasting 265k. Does this all go to the home side? http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/TheFACup/NewsAndFeatures/Postings/2004/06/Payments_2004_05.htm Now im going to check train times for sunday, hoping they will be better options than the sats, doubt it. lol.
Wouldn't early on Saturday be better? It just means you get up early in the morning to drive there and at least you will be driving back at a reasonable time and not trying to rush.
If this was true (it was a rumour that i heard) i am guessing kick off would have been around 11, i.e finished by 1pm switch over to egg chasing to start at 1.30. Having been to Plymouth on a number of occasions it has taken anything between 3 and 6 hours dependant of traffic / weather etc. So I guess it was the lesser of two evils to accept Sunday at 6pm.
just put it this way if any one going by coach or car you wont be getting back to watford till around 3am earlyest and the lastest 4am but if we win well i dont care what time we get back
well think i'll leave the beach at about 5. Quick change of clothing into my sunday best and quick journey to the ground arriving just in time to see the players emerge from the tunnel. Happy days!
mate im not being funny but my dad a lorry driver who been to plymouth and i belive everythink he says it aint goin to be a 3 hour trip by coach your looking at 6 hours by coach and by car 5hours take my word getting out of plymouth will be like trying to get out of london at rush hour
Well i live down this way for Uni and it takes me a 4 and half hours usually to get here from Aylesbury. Anybody who thinks they'll make it in 3 hours on a sunday is mad. I did it in 3 hours after the Fulham and West Ham games because it was night and nobody was about. Good luck getting down here boys its a joke.
Haha....extra 5 hours? Once i've negotiated the endless roundabouts of MK it'll be an extra couple of hours. Oh and i'm hereby refuse to pick you up, in any shape or form.
dont even lie. you and i both know you are picking me up (in any shap AND form). We can play I Spy and "Spot the Roadkill"
Haha, Shap? is that code for something in MK? I'd just play some shocking music, wait till your asleep, wind down window and your short self will fly out the window. Either that, or i'd fill you full of coke, wait till you need the toilet and do a runner with my KFC in hand whilst your happily relieving your bladder!
