Mo Jo by miles n miles n miles - the others on that list are not even close IMHO

KP good and Iggy too but if the criteria is instinct then Maurice in 83/84 was peerless

As I have said on another thread Vydra for me, but Mo Jo definitely right up there. But the side he played in was probably our best ever, and we just oozed goals.

Penrice was more of an all rounder, if pushed he was the creator and Wilkinson the finisher.

Wilkinson and penrice are up there with the best for me.I remember both scoring lots of goals when I was a youngster and both top notch players. Also how come there is no Deeney in the list????

I was surprised to see a near 3-minute video of Priskin goals, until I watched it and saw many clips in slow-motion.

I imagine you could get a similar montage of all of John Eustace's goals.

For me it's Mo-jo as the absolute natural finisher.
He wouldn't last a day with Flores though as he would want more work rate out of him.
I met him once in a night club, he and the boys were out drinking, his jacket sleeves pulled up to his elbow, very Miami vice style! A lady's man, a drinker and gambler and I think a bad influence on the younger players; but he knew how to put it away! ;)

Also, going back to my childhood, someone mentioned Billy Jennings and another mentioned Barry Endean (that famous goal of course) but going further back to when I watched from the cinders on the corner by the Rookery, near the goal line (with Elton ;) ) although he only played for a short time and never really held down a first team starting spot, Rodney Green - a supersub who always seemed to score when he came on.

Deeney is not a 'natural' goal scorer, he's a good goalscorer but he's not 'lethal' in the box

For the last 3 seasons he has scored more goals than any other Watford forward so how is he not a Natural goal scorer, only this season he has been more of a provider.

Mighty Mo by a mile. Could have been a super star if he hadn't had Murray's extra curricular interests.

    Nice video!

What game is that around the 2 minute mark where Marlon does the near impossible to leave the keeper flat on his back before slotting the ball in from the tightest of angles after it looks almost certain to go out for a goal kick? Great composure there.

Well people are mentioning Priskin? How is he a natural goalscorer? His record across the English divisions was 1 in 7 and spent half his time offside.

That was against Norwich. Ashley Young scored a screamer as well. We won 2-1

Too young to remember watching Cliff Holton play but I do remember the short spell that Barry Dyson had with us. Now he could finish!"

No he's not, otherwise he'd have more goals this season...he's had the chances.

    Grow up.

No one else has mentioned him because they know what a natural goalscorer is.

I forgot just how good Priskin could be, I loved those dinks over the keeper, that's a real finisher :sign15:

Having said that, I would put Mo Jo, Kev Phillips and Vydra ahead of him, Wilkinson was another class act too.

MoJo was probably the most natural finisher I've ever seen anywhere, not just at WFC. Not the greatest footballer obviously but the most natural finisher. He made it look effortless.

He really isn't - he is a great player / leader of the line and finishes well - but a natural goal scorer - Law / Lineker / Greaves /Mueller are different - they don't score towering headers or 30 yard screamers - they just always know where to be and they have the reflexes to get any part of their anatomy in the way o divert the ball in. Not "better" than Deeney - just completely different

"Natural Goalscorer" and "Finishing" are more aesthetic values - stats and numbers don't come in to play.

The only way to assess them is by looking at things like cockiness and swagger, which are of course, completely subjective.
