Spurs should be there for the taking, but you know what will happen. They'll be the wounded animal seeing Watford as a god send to turn their bad form around. We always oblige and they'll give us a good hiding. If there's any other outcome other than that, then I'll be amazed.

Yeah we can win at WHL. It's a building site now. So coats down for goals and let's see if Holebas can get booked by a black and white coloured bollard, and Gray to sky a penalty into a digger's spade. :p

I expect the worst. Mainly as I have a disproportionate amount of Spurs supporting friends who love to mock me. I have enjoyed that the last two weeks they can’t bring themselves to take this piss out of our poor form!

The trouble for us is that for Spurs and Man Utd a long run of poor form doesn’t equal likely relegation.

Ground is still in White Hart Lane as far as I'm aware.

Oh ok, I thought it was a different location in North London. Anyway, take your cameras... might be the only time we get to admire such a stunning stadium.

The dodgy WHL pitch will help us! Hopefully Kane and Son will pick up injuries by falling on some metal or concrete.

We're toast!! All the teams around us are getting results - some off the big boys. Stop wasting time on your spreadsheets and face the stark reality that we'll be lucky to cross the 20 pt threshold!

It’s not called WHL though now. I was listening to podcast and they said they were berated by spurs fans for calling it WHL.

I’m not saying we won’t get relegated. I’m just suggesting some here are thinking our survival is more unlikely than it actually is.

And I have to pick you up on one thing. Time spent with a spreadsheet is never wasted time. Never. Indeed some indigenous tribes in Tibet say that time spent on spreadsheets is the only way to true enlightenment.

I just google it (surely I have better things to do with my life than thinking about Spurs).

The innovative name for their new stadium is Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Inspiring. They could have kept WHL but know they can sell the name to a sponsor and make lots of money which is a what football is all about so that’s a good thing.

Also whilst it is exceptionally close to White Hart Lane, it isn’t actually on it, possibly 0.01% is based on the map.

    the official address is
    748 High Road
    Tottenham
    London
    N17 0AP

Who are the ‘guaranteed’ defeats now in this division...unless it’s against our lot who seem to accept it before the game even starts.
I have a horrible feeling...sides that can not convert any of 3 simple chances from 8 yards or closer WILL go down..

    Just a double 6 term.

Who in their right mind would buy Kiko and Kabasele?

I'm not disagreeing Doucs, Del, Pereyra will go. They're not in the defence.

The bulk of the defence we have now we will have next year.

Kiko would be bought by multiple La Liga bottom feeders. Wouldn’t be surprised if Kaba would slot in nicely at Udinese. You also continue to ignore those out of contract.

Plus Wilmott - presume Holebas wold go and probably Janmaat.

We'd need to look for new full backs which might not be a bad thing.

Would Cathcart and Dawson be ok as a Championship central defensive paring?

Probably just be the lack of pace that would an issue but you'd have Wimot to cover that.

And well you'd think we'd have more of the ball regardless of who the manager is!

Perhaps Gino will bin Watford off after relegation and buy Newcastle instead from Mike Ashley?

It overlaps the same site as the old ground. Why do you think they played for 2 years at Wembley?

    I'm not ignoring anyone.

I imagine there will be a few players wanting to leave, but there is a huge difference between wanting to leave and getting cash offers in. Life isn't like FM. Rarely do we see clear outs when teams are relegated, it takes several windows to churn.

I expect Cathcart, Mapps, Kaba, Dawson to all be here. Don't know when Prodl's contract is up but he's 32 and has a recent history of injury, can't see bids for him. Willmot back. Kiko hasn't shown anything to make anyone open their wallet. Ditto Masina.

The defence we have now will largely be the defence we have next year, premier league or championship. imo.

We'll know who's right and wrong this time next year.

this has occurred to me too, not the buying Newcastle bit, but taking a big chunk of the parachute payment and cutting and running....

Here's an idea for our next match......if the 1881 are looking for inspiration.

Arsenal mite be a top 6 team the way things are and we bled their noses for at least 45 minutes.

That's your opinion which is fair enough. You share that same opinion as the manager. However, come the end of the season I think we'll look back in horror that we actually played a game against a newly promoted team like Sheffield United at home with 5 defenders, a defensive midfielder....plus a keeper of course. 7 of our 11 players dedicated to keeping the "free scoring" Sheff Utd at bay.

Even with this ultra-7 man defensive formation, Sheffield United still had more shots on target and off target than us.

It's going to get worse when Deeney's back. A quick reminder that since we were promoted, only Burnley (twice) have played more long balls over the course of a season than Quique's Watford. We are going to have eight players concentrating on the shape and two trying to score, just like last time. Better hope that someone hits an Ighalo-esque run of form or it's going to be very ugly. And there'll be no place for Sarr as he's not defensively minded enough, as shown with the goal at Wolves.

Many of their shots didn't really test the defence or keeper so job done.

To be fair, Sarr is not ready for the Premier League yet. We'd be better off loaning out somewhere in January. He's not really going to offer anything in our current plight.

True he isn't the final answer to our issues which will disappoint the Twitter crew who demanded we must sig Sarr at all costs but we paid 30 million for him ..

To hardly see him in action then dump out on loan really would show a lack of faith and foresight .

True.....but this season has been one big **** up. There's no point in denying it. We have to be pragmatic now and make correct decisions. He's not ready to play at Premier League football and we don't need passengers, however tough that sounds.

On this occasion you weren't included. At least you do bother to provide an argument and justification for negativity.
