April is a funny month, with them showers and all. Talking of showers, we're a bit of one at the moment. Some would replace showers with shambles. But we're not at all. 3 consecutive seasons in the Premier League, and a fourth one to follow. How fantastic is that??? I love the month of May. Everything coming into leaf, the leaves virgin-green, bug-free for that brief period of time. So let's go into May on the back of a glorious win against the Potato People. 3-1 Watford Keep the Faith. Enjoy the Ride. Prune in Autumn. SCG
Lets hope the story of TDs injury is wrong, otherwise he will be a huge miss. Key part of the jigsaw.
I was going to this but can’t now. Sort of disappointed as haven’t been to Wembley since our PO loss to Palarse. I can’t see anything past a loss I’m afraid they are going for top four whereas we are more or less safe and we’re away. I do hope we play a bit like we did at Arsenal with some fight. Try to make a game of it and make them work for the win if they get it. We won’t score but we won’t keep them out for long. 3-0 to the Spuds.
For some reason I'm going to this game. No idea why. ****** stadium, certain defeat to bloody Spurs and on a Monday night. I hate myself.
Law of averages would suggest that surely we must score a goal away from home eventually? But I don't believe it'll be here. Spurs haven't won any of their last three games, or at Wembley since the 3rd March (3 consecutive home defeats, albeit one in the FA cup). Being as we're the team that happily brings other clubs poor spells to an end, I think this'll end up about 4-0. Talking of poor spells - Harry Kane hasn't scored in his last three games, and hasn't scored properly (can't really call the goal against Stoke a proper goal, can we?) since 25th Feb against Palace, 11 matches ago. Therefore, I'm sure we'll be the club that reignites his challenge for the golden boot - just like we did for Mo Salah......... Maybe if we're really lucky, we'll see Kane looking as happy as this after the match: (any excuse to post this picture)
It’s on the telly so a good performance is expected* for a host of reasons: End of season shop window for players who want to/are forced to leave. ‘Sign me’ We put in an upbeat performance vs Palarse and we’ll continue the momentum. We haven’t scored away for eons and it’s about b****y time we were given something to cheer. It’s a day out at Wemberleeee. Spuds and Kane in poor form. We always play well when we’re on’t telly. Hope is eternal. 1-1 *by me
Only possible positive to come from this game is that the 6 goals Kane bags for himself kickstarts his return to form ahead of the World Cup.
Holebas will be the one to crush his metatarsals. An England player always cracks a metatarsal about now and becomes touch and go for the tournament. We'll take him anyway but he misses the first 2 group games and is rubbish in the third as we slump out.
Looking forward to seeing Watford at Wembley without being surrounded by day-trippers on a family outing with their packed lunches. 0-2 - Capoue, Deeney (pen)
We know what will happen. We will lose and not score. The only uncertainty is over which losing, non-scoring formation Gracia chooses and what "relegation %" we climb to from 0.03%.
I thought Chelsea were going to thump us in revenge for losing to.Bournemouth the previous match... Look what happened. Hold own wasn't that due to the "New Manager Bounce", yes, I do believe it was.
Obviously I want us to win, but we won’t. So the next thing I want is Kane to leapfrog Salah in the golden boot race. Hopefully I will then stop hearing about him and the ridiculous comments comparing him to Ronaldo and Messi.
To be fair Gracia has played 3-4-3, 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2. Just accept that our strikers are **** and that maybe the fact we aren't scoring isn't totally down to the coach.
View attachment 1568 Is this a spot the ball competition? I know where it is. It isn't in the Watford net. Ill go for the ball being in the back of the Leicester net
I don't see our strikers missing masses of shots, do you? Last week, apart from a near own goal there wasn't a shot to save really, despite our domination. Ritchy should have squared in stead of attempting a 1 in 50 chance, that is the only miss I can consider should have ended up in the net. In short we are not creating enough real openings.
Salah has had a fantastic season though. In many ways he reminds me of Ronaldo and Messi when they were at their peak
Not sure what you think you are disagreeing with in my post ? Where have i blamed the coach ? Just saying the team formation is one of the few unknowns about the match and whatever he picks we won't score as we have **** strikers.
Has Kane been successful in his bid to claim some of Salah's goals due to the wind currents being altered as he moves in North London and affecting the path of the ball at Anfield?
5-0 to the spuds after 60 minutes then they take foot off accelerator and Richie gets injury time consolation. Kane hat trick.
Tottenham never lose to us in modern times and almost always win. They are good at Wembley. We are are terrible at Wembley. They are free-scoring at home. We are free-conceding away. This ain’t nothing but an absolute humping. A couple of weeks ago, I took HB1 to task for a negative pre-game post. I now see what he was getting at. I hope I’m wrong and I’m sure people will say something against this point - but this just feels like another away game to add to Gracia’s pile of misery on the road.
He, he, he. Thankfully our relegation % is more based on others than us - we are safer now than 6 games ago despite not having won a game! Anything other than a defeat would be nice a surprise.
