This current game might be a good bet for 0-0.

Nigeria score with their 1st effort on goal .

Let's see what Iceland can do now !

Nice to watch a game not played by two teams of cheating crybabies.

To be honest even he would like a saint when Croatia play Argentina.

True. Theirs was a different kind of petulant professionalism. Niggle niggle bite bite snap slap hack.
If Argentina had put in half as much effort into actually playing yesterday instead of all the other rubbish they may have got something from the game.

Moses wasn't too bad today either once the ref didn't give him free-kicks for a couple of early falls.

Another 'wrestling incident' against Mitrovic. Pretty clear again really. It's now becoming a 'theme'.

Best competitive match of the tournament so far. But ultimately decided by a stonewaller denied to the losers. A genuine miscarriage of justice.

At what point does Mitrovic become too expensive for Fulham?

I’d give VAR that one if the referee had done his whole job correctly and subsequently booked Neymar for playacting. It was cheating, clear and simple and rewatched by the referee - is there any wonder they continue to do it when it goes unpunished.

It’s cheating. No other word for it.

Qutoe of the tournament so far for me:

"20% of Iceland's population are in this stadium."

    Quite amazing.

    But not true.

Higher proportion of Watford inhabitants in the Vic stadium than Icelandics at WC.

Probably big talking point on Iceland tv.

VAR is really highlighting the bias that big teams tended to get. It's a good thing.

Admittedly I was in a pub, non English commentary etc but felt Mitrovic didn't get his penalty because the replays showed his elbow on the head of the Swiss chap... Gave the ref an excuse to say there were two fouls committed, one each way, his initial decision was correct.

    Not booking Neymar was poor.

Also, Ronaldo and others have been doing the square thing with their fingers as an appeal, a bit like waving an imaginary card. I thought that was punishable.

Also a favourite quote of mine a few days ago, I forget which game, was something on ITV where they said an astonishing 17% of goals had been scored in the last 15 minutes of games.

Absolutely astonishing given 15 is around 17% of 90.

Probably not true either. WFC's catchment extends well beyond Watford. In fact, I have it on good authority that it extends all the way to the Philippines.

Even further actually. Keep going east and you will see Watford fans span the entire world as far as Ireland and Wales.

I do like that Mexico away kit - purple and green are always the colours of choice for a decent away kit.

Just noticed Belgium played like Watford - well we have had kits like that in the past!

And they let in 2 goals including a late one.
