Lewis is sulky because he is the quickest racer in formula 1, and only has one title to show for it.

Rosberg is definitely favoured by the team, the pit stops and the team orders suggest that. They want an all German win.

He also has some of the worst luck in F1.

Apparently McLaren are trying to steal Alonso for next season.

They want a big name due to their new set up with Honda. If they don't get him, I see Hulkenberg or Bottas going there.

I heard that. Likely Jenson is off. A shame but he's never been a top 3 driver imho. I can see either Lewis or Nico going from Mercedes at the end of the season. They can't carry on as they are so it might be an opportunity for Jenson as a confirmed number 2. Lewis & Jenson did ok as joint drivers together at McLaren so maybe that's what they need.

Actually. Lewis has enough cash. He should buy his own team. The sponsors and engines would follow and he could then control it the way he want it.

Good win for Hamilton - or did Rosberg hand him the win?

Nah. Can't see it. Rosberg cracked under the pressure. Mercedes would never slow a driver down with that sort of lead unless there was a risk of a collision and Lewis hadn't got close enough by that time. Slowing Nico would have risked a Williams nicking his points. Lewis was pressing on better tyres and Nico needed to take risks to stay ahead and it back fired.

Lewis had his number all weekend and he performs better when racing rather than controlling a race from the front.

The commentators on BBC said exactly the same. Lewis was a fair distance behind still (although catching) and Nico is an experienced racer, there was no pressure! Plus it was a textbook corner for an F1 driver to navigate.

Fix or not, it was disappointing we were robbed of what looked to be an interesting battle.

The racing of the future. I rather enjoyed it Opti. Prost junior deserves a slap around the head for what he did to Heifeld.

This year a Nissan electric car went down the famous Mulsanne strait at over 300 kilometres an hour. Battery life of course is a major limitation at present to any form of endurance racing.

I see they've clamped down on radio communications and the team aren't at all happy:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/29213997

Apparently it's going to make fuel calculations nigh on impossible for the drivers and could prevent them warning them about other errors with the cars too. Like all things though it's come about because some teams have been taking the mick and giving the impression of coaching their drivers.

I get the feeling that this rule change has been brought in to try, and punish Rosberg. It does appear he is the one who gets the most coaching. The FIA allways try to change the rules mid season to give other drivers a chance.

So Vettel is off to Ferrari (in all likelihood) leaving the path clear for Alonso to re-join Mclaren with their new Honda engines next year.

Hopefully the quick medical treatment will save him.

EDIT: Just been on 5live that Bianchi is in Intensive care but breathing unaided.

Its quite ironic as they had the medical guys on 5live last Thursday talking about how there hadn't been a major injury/crash for sometime.

Lewis looking good for the win in Texas, once again demonstrating that he's the superior driver in the battle with Rosberg.

Barring a mechanical issue Hamilton looks set to stretch his Championship lead to 24 points with 75 to play for. That double points in the last race is starting to look very very convenient from Rosberg's point of view.

Lewis must win, showed today how he is the better driver. What do you reckon on a technical fault for Lewis in Brazil to allow Rosberg the win though?

Also looking forward to the 3 man Ferrari team next year of Alonso, Kimi and Vettal with the way things are going with lack of entries.

Lewis can pootle round, come 2nd in the last 2 races and he's WDC. Barring trouble or DNF its his.

I'd obviously rather the technical issue (which you kinda have to feel must be coming) is in Brazil than Abu Dhabi, but if things conspire to rob Lewis of the title this year, it'll be a great shame. His 10 wins to Rosberg's 4, along with Rosberg's foul play in Monaco and Spa... this should have been well and truely over with a few races to go.

The double points rule makes a bit of a farce of it. Hamilton to take Rosberg off on the grid in Abu Dhabi... Senna-style.

Loved that, totally deserved once again. If Lewis doesn't win the championship it will be a travesty. He is in such a good place, has matured so much over the last few years and in my not so unbiased opinion the best driver out there. Go on Lewis!!!

I half suspect the people at the FIA hope Rosberg goes out this weekend to avoid such a nightmare situation as a guy almost into doubles figures race wins wise losing the tittle at the last moment.

Well Hamilton just has to be 2nd to be champion.

Hopefully from his point of view reliability is ok.

It's the thing that's prevented him having it all wrapped up by this point... and for some reason, some part of me always fears the worst in these instances. Hopefully he won't be denied what he deserves by something that's out of his hands.

The funding and money side of Formula 1 has always been a mystery to me, not least because much info is a secret. But this is quite an interesting article by the BBC that throws some light on it.
