Maybe a bit late in the tournament now but no thread going.

Just wondered if anyone is watching? It’s a bit like Wimbledon for me only more so - only ever see darts this week or so and then not at all for the rest of the year so I’m no expert, but it’s generally a good watch and the players are pretty relateable which is a pleasant change.

Getting to the business end now. Quite a few of the big guns seem to have gone out early this year.

I love the darts, the holidays wouldn't be the same without it.

Was convinced Gerwyn Price was going to win but he's been dumped out. That's why I never gamble :)

Yep. Shame Rapid Ricky went out tonight as he was one of my tips.

Missed his chance didn't he? Gurney was awful for a lot of that game.

Used to be a fan of Darts. I liked "The boy from new York city" and bought "It's raining".

I saw that earlier this year,at the Lyttleton I think.

    Wonderful production.

Some one sided matches this evening! Feels like it is hotting up now, and there won’t be a repeat from Smith this year.
Haven’t seen the 16 year old play yet but Barney definitely looked vulnerable today so could be interesting tomorrow.

I think I just witnessed something special there, Luke Littler is the real deal.

Wow! Must be tough to play well under the pressure at the end of that last match.

Fascinating to see where it goes from here - can’t believe it’s not on tomorrow night

I think Humphries is the only dart player I know who actually looks like an athlete.

Gerwyn Price used to play rugby union and rugby league professionally.
There are a few others that don't look obese :)

    Yes, yes it is.

Raymond van Barneveld's fans are known as the "Barney Army" and Luke's fans as the "Littler Youth". Probably.

Actually I was aware of Price now I think about it! Also the female player (Sherrock?) only looks quite small.

I’m sure I heard once that a nice beer belly is good for the centre of gravity for throwing darts. I suspect that was made up though!

I'm one of those rare beasts (certainly rare among your average darts crowd!), an absolute darts tragic, follow everything from Ally Pally to the obscurity of the Asian scene, last night was absolute madness! Humphries-Cullen (the last professional darts game of the year!) was the best game of 2023, Dolan-Anderson wasn't bad neither, and Littler is just a phenomenon, young enough to still be a factor in 4 whole decades!

There are a lot of them who were stick-thin when they first started out, but shockingly, a life of travelling across the UK and Europe on a weekly basis, living out of hotels is not always conducive to a healthy lifestyle!

'Young Adolph ' is cultivating his Sidney Greenstreet look I see.

Probably due to his kebab intake, as mentioned by K9!

I can think of a few 'athletes' who actually look like darts players that have turned out for WFC

Littler-Cross shaping up to be an excellent semi-final, Littler 3-2 up but it could be any score

The kid is into his first world final at the age of 16! For reference, the next youngest player to make a world final was 21...

A man on a young person's body it seems.

Wins all his matches easily with such good darts.

    Shows great maturing.

Let's hope he can cope with all the media attention as he has so far.

As if a man who's won 3 big TV titles this season and is averaging over 110 can 'quietly go about his business', but such has been the attention on Littler!

Something makes me feel very very very uneasy about this kid.

    - Face, body and hairline of a 35 year old.
    - 21 year old girlfriend.
    - Sister's semi naked photos already all over the press
    - parents look like extras from the hills have eyes
    - etc

This will not end well. Bookmark this post.

I hope Humphries wins. Nothing against the kid, I just think Humphries deserves it for the year he's had. Seems like a nice bloke too.
