We're going down next season. It's almost as if some of us saw this coming this year. An absolute shambles of a football club.
anybody from this forum, whose anti Pozzo, wouldn’t have wasted their time and money going to ‘Ull anybody who did go will be in the “be careful what you wish for” idiotic camp so happy to clap the players off like seals
In other news: Team GB Boys 5 - 2 Kiwis Ozzie girls 0 - Team GB 1 Both GB teams dominated their matches. Don't forget Lloydinho's black and white army are on BT sport at 18h30.
Costa has a very good relationship with Benfica. Now that we’re a solidified mid table championship club again, players from benfica will come in handy to help us starve off relegation to league 1. Benfica have a proven academy, with many upcoming talents looking for first team opportunities. Our relationship as clubs because of Costa will be useful. However it won’t be if we agree to take their players and never play them, especially when there is another loan player in that position that has proven for months he’s a massive donkey.
Oddly I'm more optimistic for next season due our absolute disaster, similar to our 2nd Pozzo season. It is now extremely obvious that we need universal change, rather than us sneaking playoffs or just outside. There can't be anyone within the club that can put a positive spin on this.
Ah we lost I see. Shows how low we are now when I’d prefer to take my screaming tired children out for a walk in the park and watch them have meltdowns in front of total strangers, than even follow or care about this result. Unless something unexpectedly dramatic happens over the summer, there’s only one direction this club is heading. We’re the new Bradford.
Have to admire those supporters that actually went . I barely bothered to watch . Had one eye on it whilst doing other stuff . Performance was as expected as it is likely to be for the remaining two. Not sure there is much more to say now…. Unless now we are mathematically out of the playoffs ( virtually ) we see a completely different team next week .
Did anyone have any faith at all that we’d score after they did? None, what is that? Why is that? We’re so porous and so blunt in equal measure, barely create chances. Booooooring.
We put on big KD to save the day. You will not be surprised he was ****. Also did his job wasting one of the very few decent crosses into the box by being off side, as usual. What a waste of time he has been.
I'm glad we've given up. Had we put some kind of run together and somehow made the play offs or got close it would only have papered over the huge cracks
I'm guessing that Manga wants wilder to use more of the squad now to get some ideas on who he might want to include in his "yes" list for this summer....?
I'd rather get on the coach and get home. 8am start was bad enough. Next week it's 6.30am. Thank God it was all booked up.
Currently being 6 hours behind I forgot we were even playing and only just saw the score when I checked my emails and saw one from the wobby, glorious stuff.
It’s great that we’re now firmly in relegation form with a much stronger team than we’ll have next season, though. Something to look forward to.
If Pozzo was to show some humility and empathy with the fans by issuing a genuine and heartfelt mea culpa, would you be prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt or is his stock now so low there's nothing he can say or do to change your mind - you just want him to sell up and sod off?
I was there - not quite true this. Whilst there was some clappers, there was also a fair amount of people telling them to f**k off. Although the players made a very half hearted effort to walk over and they clapped from quite far away.
Also it's gone beyond toxic. This isn't like Southampton in the FA cup (holebas fighting with fans) or Millwall this year where fans where fighting with each other. It was just a depressing feel to the whole thing.
What if ....... Gino Pozzo took a well known smash hit and recreated his own version. This is the result, a travesty.
I have been a supporter since 1969, and have had and still have a season ticket for the vast majority of those years, I have renewed for next year, I enjoy the whole match day experience, a 30 mile drive, parking up walking to the ground seeing familiar faces although I can count on one hand the number of fans names I know. I am fortunate unlike many forum members to have seen all of our years in the top division where we have had many amazing results, this year I have to say with the players we have we have underachieved more than any other season, you would expect a relegated team to have a better season, however before the start of this season we have been relegated twice in 3 seasons, so although we were in the Premier League last year you could hardly say we were actually a PL team. We all know the players we have aren’t cut out for the championship and certainly not a dog fight, I fairly confident we will finish no lower next year than where we finish up after playing Stoke by getting some Championship players in and not fancy dans who have the skill but not the endeavour!
If the club gives me a voucher for a quid off a drink at the Stadium of Light next Saturday I’m right back in Team Pozzo. A little flag to wave on my seat too and omg, I’ll be in heaven!
That could well be true, but how confident are you that the current owners won’t just replace the current group of unsuitable players with another, cheaper, bunch of equally unsuitable ones?
You're easily sold. I expect a rousing programme note, a promise to parlaci and some empty assurances that the club will make a root and branch change over the summer and then I'll be bought in and start getting excited by all the **** signings we make
God bless you for having to put up with that so called display from so called professional footballers.
What, you mean that we shouldn't look at the example of the last 8 windows and instead assume they will do things differently, because we signed Porteous.
