I'm genuinely not looking forward to this afternoon's match. I wish I were less of a fan and didn't bother watching it. It's come round too quickly after the last bore-a-palooza and I don't expect anything much better today. After the rich, spicy deliciousness of the world Cup, watching wfc is like a big bowl of cold gruel. And the players aren't going to want to do it. They'll be about as willing to go up there as @Horace_goes_up_north is. The players don't want to play it, the fans don't want to watch it, the police and stewards and catering people could have the afternoon off, with their families, just before Christmas and everything. Nice little surprise for them. Just record it a 0-0 now for the official records. No shots on target from either side. Get the reporters to just submit something along the lines of "a dour struggle in which a lack of quality was evident from both sides. [Insert name] blasted high over the bar in a game of few chances and where both sides cancelled each other out". And nobody is any the wiser.

If Davis can get his game going today and not play musical statues like last week, we might have a chance. There is no point in Sarr trying to make something when there is no forward runner. Not sure how Bacuna will fair, but hopefully makes a good impression. Hudersfield are not world beaters but can be difficult to break down.
