Genuinely a better dribbler than Sarr. Lacks some end product but there is a big gulf between the Premier League and Championship, he could be effective next season if he's up for the fight.
Can't recall him doing much today, and since Edwards doesn't play with wingers, it's hard to see where he fits in
Was googling to see if there were any links for him leaving and apparently there's another Samuel Kalu who plays in Nigeria. He's also had a very hard paper round as he's *ahem* 19 years old: https://www.google.com/amp/s/soccer...-kastina-united-debunked-enyimba-rumor/?amp=1
Is he injured? I don't think we can get a better RWB than him right now. He has the pace, skill and he can actually defend. Kalu at RWB and Kamara at LWB will give us balance. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
Surely he's about to be ejected as a victim of the rule of 11? At 41 years old he's 11 years older than the squad average and so unfortunately doesn't make the cut.
Mogi is working on a deal to get his money back and then some. I suspect we'll see Mr Kalu appear at Nantes in the near future.
Hmm. A Happy “25th” birthday ! https://mobile.twitter.com/WatfordF...io/iframe/twitter.min.html1563057405386059776
If RE has to abandon his 3-5-2 and go 4-3-3 due to lack of options at RWB, I can see Kalu getting an opportunity to contribute at some point. You’d think it’s between Davis, Manaj and Bayo for the CF role, being flanked by JP and Sarr (ideally), and backed up by Sema, Hungbo and Kalu. Definitely scope for him to get minutes. Whether he’s at the level required is up for debate, but he did show a couple of flashes in the brief appearances he made last year. Bayo probably has the physical attributes to play the wider role too, but he hasn’t shown much on the ball to suggest he’d be a threat in that position.
No idea, honestly. I suppose in theory, he might be able to do it, but I’m not sure whether he’d be capable defensively. I guess Hungbo was given a run out at WB during pre-season, so there might be a willingness on behalf of RE to consider it.
Supposedly his defensive work rate was something he was meant to be quite strong at with Bordeaux. I'm not sure he's even still alive though!? Anyone know where he is? Aside from a retirement home.
He’s on the ‘comeback trail’ apparently, due to a hamstring injury which he has nearly recovered from: https://www.watfordfc.com/news/injury-news-tom-cleverley-ismaila-sarr https://www.watfordfc.com/news/team-news-watford-v-queens-park-rangers
I saw a spark tonight, the team really raised their game when he came on and saw out the win. Something tells me that he's a real leader in the changing room.
50 year old actually looked good compared to all our other 'stars' on the pitch today. If he's got the gas for it give him a start at Luton.
