Only the world's finest scouting networks are savvy enough to find talent in places as obscure and exotic as West Ham United.

Domingos Quina has officially become the first player younger than I am to score in a senior competition for Watford. Dear me.
Just watched it. Expected more after 20 minutes on Newcastle. Suppose we should be happy they're dedicating 4 minutes and 30 seconds of their time to us.
He's an astonishing find. How they've plucked this absolute star of Portuguese under-17 football from the relative obscurity of bubble-blowing east end World Cup winners West Ham just blows my mind, maaan! Especially when you consider our Senior Recruitment Officer Jamie Benson held a similar position at bubble-blowing east end World Cup winners West Ham. And then there's our recruitment analyst Sebastian Taghizadeh who possibly had input in bringing the Portuguese Boy O' War to the Vic. He worked for bubble-blowing east end World Cup winners West Ham too. Purely coincidental. ******* cracking goal though!
My boss who is a West Ham was talking to me about Quina one day, saying how he'd love him to be given a chance at the Irons but it was unlikely as he seemed intent on running down his contract. He was livid that the club didn't treat him that well, and he then mentioned that Barcelona had been interested. So I was thinking, 'hmm, I'll look out for him'. We then went and signed him the next day haha. I've just sent my boss an email with a video of the goal
Four wins out of four and a competently managed first game in the League Cup. Gracia again showing himself to be clueless about our club’s traditions.
A lot tough teams still in it. Hopefully we get a home draw with one of; Wycombe Burton Macclesfield Blackpool Oxford QPR
Ha - I know right?! Nothing like belittling 3 pretty good wins and dampening the whole mood of the piece!
How a league cup tie should be . Comfortable win with new players doing well including a real cracker from Quina . Great to see Chalobah back - good work for Success goal .
That was a hugely impressive performance considering the whole team was changed. Quina and Chalobah were terrific in midfield. It goes to show what a strong squad being in the PL buys you, if you spend wisely. However, for the best performance of all look no further than the Hornets’ fans. What a great effort for nearly 3000 to get there. It must be many years since there was such enthusiasm for the 2nd round of the League Cup. Quite a contrast with Sunday’s wet weather stayaways.
Strange occurrences tonight: The M25 moved,at least on the way to Reading. Watford won a League Cup tie. Challers returned with all of his limbs intact. I never felt we would lose. Very happy to see NC back and Quina looked a bag of tricks, even before his goal.West Ham must have some brilliant players if they can allow that young man to leave. I preferred Elm Park I think and who was that gormless Reading fan bating the Watford fans after about 70 minutes? Silly person!
Never thought I'd say this about a league cup tie at the Madejski on a Wednesday night, but that was really enjoyable! Our fans made up nearly a third of those in the stadium, and were well rewarded with a fine performance from the back up brigade. I remember it being dismissed as guff at the time by some, especially when those big signings didn't arrive before the end of deadline day, but the importance of getting our business done early and using pre-season to gel the squad has been clearly evident throughout this 4 game run. Tonight the reserves perhaps could have been forgiven for putting in a somewhat disjointed performance, but in fact they all looked comfortable in their roles and familiar with each other. There was more of that togetherness on display that we've seen in the league games. Into the hat for the next round and on to Sunday - could we make it 5 out of 5?! The fact that this is even a possibility is astonishingly brilliant.
