Thoughts from last night: Where else to start, but Quina. This guy is mustard. The real deal. He couldn’t get on the ball enough, he ran the show and deserved his goal (and what a strike!). Chalobah grew into the game. Became more confident without jumping into risky situations. A good run out for him. A funny moment when Marrippa cleared one near his own goal mouth after Gomes was lobbed. Chalobah turned around and gave Gomes a few words along the lines of “what the f**k was that?”. Gomes ran 15 or so yards towards Chalobah, basically telling him to f**k off. Gomes looked mad. A maniac even. Chalobah didn’t pursue it further... Wilmot looked ok, without standing out but importantly didn’t look out of place. Kiko - kept on tucking in so couldn’t use his pace. Success - too heavy, bit of a slouch, missed three good chances, but took his goal well. Needs to work harder and try to change the shape of his head from a triangle to more of a circle. Navarro - not 100% sure about him, but Masina has a good cross on him, likes to get forward and loves a tackle. Not quite Holebas though.
I often think the answer to how much research they do is either 1. None Or 2. Ask a fellow pundit just before the show, who it turns out has taken option 1
I agree with you. I thought all of them played well in a scintillating performance. I was shocked to read some of the negative comments on here the morning after. I truly believe that side would have given our first eleven a beating. Success got himself in lots of dangerous positions too. I think this season will finally be the making of him.
