Apparently my Dad used to watch speedway before the War, at Wembley. He told me he gave up watching when he realised that whoever reached the first bend in the lead was invariably the winner at the end. It was boring, in other words.
By the way. If Bertie_Royal from BWL days happens to stumble past this way, don't forget to send a salute.
I’m weighing up going but would first like to know if any recent players have turned out for both teams.
As we're premier league big boys now, I imagine we can just grab 11 fans to be in the starting line up and still comfortably win 6/7 - 0
A Taxi to take my Penguin to the Kit Kat Club with his Gold Bars. The heyday of the chocolate biscuit countline was the 80s. The Everton of biscuits.
As joint leaders of the Premier League, and champions-elect, I believe we just have to phone the FA and let them know the result we'd like and it'll be sorted by the ref before a ball is kicked.
https://www.watfordfc.com/teams/first-team/carabao-cup-important-audio-commentary-information No commentary available on club site for game tonight because the club are doing it for free and according to EFL rules you have to pay for it! No wonder so many people stream games 'illegally'.
Depends on the track but that's not really true. F1 seems to be much worse! Many times a 60 second speedway race has had me on my feet, those guys are brave.
It's been a bad breeding season for owls apparently, so it's no wonder the poor old sap has got his feathers in a muddle!
I think the sub-text to that is Watford left the EFL's broadcast service a couple of years ago to do it in-house. Other Premier League clubs have stayed part of it, even though they're not in the EFL. But their fans have to pay for commentary for league games.
I really don't care about this game, it's just a meaningless interruption to our PL title challenge. Play a full team of reserves.
Should be an interesting match. We kick off and score - then the match is abandoned because they don't have any players to restart it...
I'd go for pure pace, with Prodl used as a prop to illustrate the other player's speed. Dahlberg; Navarro, Prodl (prop), Maps, Masina; Kiko, Doucoure, Quina, Sema; Gray, Success
Fair enough; I don't go and so I don't know. They are surely brave, though. I'd never fall off a bike because I'd never get on one in the first place.
Currently we run our own free service now with audio and video via utube but wait a while and once Amazon & Netflixs get their fingers in the pie we will be looking to stream our own games live at say £5 worldwide, that will give quite a profit when it happens. A few years maybe but it will happen.
