It's an absolute lulu, isn't it? Where to begin? Presumably some tinpot consultant came up with that.
As Big Sam said - something who is good at marketing but knows nothing about football management. Think they only have to listen to the fan reaction at games to hear what the Everton fans think of Sam tbh!
Marvellous comment that JG looks a whole 2 years older than when he arrived here. Over 50, 2 years is such infinitesimal fraction of time that it merits not comment. But maybe the poster was younger than me. Maybe an enthusiastic 7 yo mascot for whom 2 years is the length of the Cretaceous period. Fine but let’s hope Mr Junior **** Chops does a better job of motivating the lads in the tunnel than last time.
That ****head to match all ****heads is now i/c at EFC. Presumably he knows that the fans want Fatty out hence the would be democratic pretence. A toxic element which could foul up a club with great traditions. Increases my Pozzo love.
Any excuse to re-post this: I remember suggesting him as an excellent choice for the Geordies (before they went for Rafa?).
Now he is saying that he is unconcearned by the fact that his strikers are not scoring, well he ******* well should be
I imagine he’s just trying to ease the pressure on them. Gino will know privately if he’s secretly pleading for a new strike force come July, if he’s still in the job.
The chicest wifebeater singlet I have ever seen. For editorial balance: And a hen's teeth smiley one!
Nice, but to do a proper comapison you need a photo of him wearing something with the phonetic English rendering of the Serbian/Serbo-Croat for "**** off".
His fate may lay in the next few results.i agree give him a preseason but I doubt he will want to bring in anymore forwards as he only chooses one up front!
I think the last 5 games, plus the appalling away form may have sealed his fate, but I agree, we need to see if he's able to turn it around or whether this crap run continues. If it continues, I don't see how he can stay.
Given his lineups, tactics and subs in the last few games, my mind is made up. Purely my personal opinion but I don’t trust him with an input into the squad over the summer and we cannot afford to be swimming around the bottom after 10 or so games. And I think there’s a high chance that we would be if he stays.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. I actually thought he would be a good appointment. An understated, unglamorous appointment, that would go about his job in a quiet and unassuming manner. I was very impressed with him at Malaga, where he constantly set his teams up as hard to break down, great team spirt and work ethic. The way he started at Watford was really impressive. I still think he's done well in the home games. I like the way we've played under him at home, far better than anything Silva delivered (although Silva produced an exceptional Watford side in his early days away from home). However, I've also been very disappointed in his reading of the games. He's not recognised the tactical changes made by the opposition manager, and his own tactical substitutions have been counterproductive. The last three winnable games have yielded just 1 point, when we should have gained 7. This was a carless throwaway because of poor game management. Away from home, we do not show the necessary urgency, desire and resolve, and this is why we've not scored and have been rolled over far too easily. Ok, we can blame players, but it's his job to get the best out of them, and this has been disappointing, certainly since the Liverpool match.
Didn't I see that we've lost 21 away games since December 2016, three more than the next worst Arsenal? The players are wimps.
Quique has just been sacked at Espanyol after boring the fans senseless with 26 goals in 33 games and inflicting Jurado on them this season. At least Gracia is better than that...
Not much better though. Under Gracia we’ve scored 9 goals in 11 games. 4 of those came in one match. So that’s 5 in the other 10. And we’ve failed to score in 6 matches under him, more than half his games in charge. Must be something about Spaniards. Well apart from Pep!
I think in terms of general play, irrespective of results, we’re playing better than we did at the end of our previous recent seasons in the PL. If we had a decent striker, we’d be on a decent roll right now.
Yeah I know. I’ve had a moment of realisation tonight that I’m sounding a bit like those fools on Arsenal FanTV. My apologies.
Glad to see the Pozzos are going about things the right way. Identified a Head Coach with Premier League experience, a record of getting his team into the Europa League, and the coaching nous to sort out the defence. With the reputation to help the retention of the talent in the squad and the recruitment team to get in a step up in quality this summer, another bonus to the appointment. Now he has resigned from his current employer, there is no compensation to pay and no one can label us as hypocrites having rebuffed and criticised Everton's pursuit of our first head coach of this season.Welcome Arsene Wenger, well worth the relocation packageIMHO. Announcement at the farewell Javier, I mean of course the awards night.
Today will be a test for Gracia. Let's see if he has sussed that Zaha (and therefore Palace) can largely be negated if a team gets a wing back or winger behind Zaha and gets the ball there quickly. Kiko is the obvious candidate, but that would leave Janmaat to deal with Zaha on the occasions he does get space on the left (God help us). That's then going to need Cathcart or Mariappa backing up Janmaat. Of course that plan fails if you also don't notice Van Arnholt breaking from the back, and fail to move the ball quickly through the ponderous Palace midfield and around the statuesque defence. Dammit, I've depressed myself now
Didn't know where to post this, or whether to post it at all. Flores Sanchez sacked. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43845736
Blast - just when Garcia needs two good results at home, the Fixture Computer throws up title chasing Crystal Palace and mega club Newcastle! Thank goodness the last two away games are against lesser opposition fixated on the FA Cup.
