Sessegnon isn't a left back, ask any Fulham fan. He was wasted there and they weren't particularly impressed with his defending, it's when he's been pushed further forward that he's really taken off this season. He's an attacking wide midfielder.
Well that got exciting before nosediving into disappointment. A bit like the team as a whole on the pitch in the last couple of seasons really.
Haha. I could understand us being gazumped by Spurs/Arsenal etc - but if it’s true that we’ve been frightened off by a 500k price tag for a (reputedly) very big English talent who would have come here, we look incredibly tinpot. If he goes elsewhere and fulfills his promise, I’ll always remember that Marvin Zeegelaar cost 6 times as much as he would have.
Don't really understand us balking at a ~£1 million price tag for a young English prospect who's played quite a few games in Division 2. We paid £4 million for Sinclair whose only goal in senior football at the time was against a Conference team in a cup tie. And we paid £6 million for a Belgian lump with chronic fitness problems. Why not gamble a fraction of that on a young English centre back?
Maybe his Agent is demanding a long contract on too high a wage. Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool would no doubt offer a much higher salary.
No one else appears to be in a rush to sign him for £1m. It’s easy to forget that it is real money. £500k extra = 250,000 cups of tea in sales, that, given the pace with which they are served at the Vic represents about 50 years of beverage profits. That’s shouldn’t be squandered on a possibly tinpot Willmot.
Or one match of ours shown on Sky in return for someone that could potentially be a mainstay of our defence for 15 years. And that's the gamble of the transfer market.
And Fulham. They've won almost every game since Slav, in a characteristically shrewd move, put him up top.
Disappointing RD I'd say. Spindly and not much flavour and the yellow variety taste like a feeble parsnip. I shall continue looking,as we do for a centre back!

Amusing That's Life tribute acts! No,although I've doubled my quantities as I've taken to feeding the travellers' ponies in Letty Green.
Considering I already bought a shirt with his name on, this better be back on. Sitting at ******* 50p on ebay atm.
