We’re currently 9-1 for the drop.

Swansea odds on. Udders next then WBA.

The latter were excellent vs Lpool. Pardew totally outdid the clownish Klopp.

Eight other teams bricking it more than/same as us.

Another season, another debate about petulant players, the massive injury list, the slow rehabilitation, the defence, the attack, managers etc

Just feel this season is different...our current options do not have the capability to reach 36-40 points

Most worrying thing is that Southampton are the only other team on a run of form as bad as us and they've just outplayed us for one and a half games, despite looking crap themselves. The only half we looked better than them was when we resorted to direct football and even then we had to rely on a handball in the last minute.

I think Wednesday night's game will give us a huge clue as to our fate for the rest of the season. Should we lose - and lose timidly, like yesterday - I believe that will be hugely significant. Especially if it's with the same squad that's had zero additions but the loss of its captain.

However - should some new (Udinese reserves not included), decent faces come in during the next three days that improve the quality of the squad, then maybe there will still be some hope/optimism for the remaining games. Even if we lose at Stoke but look half decent in doing so and the new guys (if they play) look the real deal - then perhaps the fat lady can wait a little bit longer?

As it stands at the moment - same squad (those that are fit, and seemingly likely minus Troy) v Stoke = certain defeat. Hope I'm wrong, of course (about defeat, not decent new players!)

Think finishing above Brighton, Newcastle and Huddersfield is our best bet.
Ulloa returning to Brighton could be a very smart move for them.

Brighton have re-signed Ulloa on loan until the end of the season.

They look desperately short of firepower. Is he the man to save them?

We were 100/1 once, so I lumped £5 on that.

Yeah, it must have been around then, when we beat Arsenal. It was in my Bet365 app and I thought those odds are worth a punt as insurance just in case the worst happens...

I wish I'd had your pessimism...

I must be honest these sorts of bets do take the edge of a defeat a bit.

Unfortunately I am very pessimistic RC, like my old man. Most of the time being like this is quite depressing, but sometimes it can have it's advantages. To be honest though, I hope I lose that £5, we shall see.

I've got 60 quid on at 66/1 for relegation but I seriously would prefer we stay up. I lump on the Hornets every year to get relegated in the hope that it secures their Premier League status. I even had a grand on Arsenal to beat Watford at the Emirates last year so I feel that I 'bought' those 3 points for the club!

You can get 5000 to 1 on Man City going down if anyone fancies a real outsider bet....

Swansea seem to be the luckiest team going every-time I see them they get battered and end up winning the game, they will probably get out of it. I agree the others though Brighton and Huddersfield are looking poorer than us at the moment.

    Another big win for Swansea?

    Typical Arsenal eh..

Least Huddersfield are losing and West Ham/Palace dropping points.
