Yet Merse, Lawro, and Lawro's guest all put us down to lose 2-1. With our problems at the moment, I think they are being kind. Actually Lawro's guest said he likes Watford, but just can't see them winning.
If the match depends on the relative performances of Vardy and Andre Gray the result is a foregone conclusion.
We are going to win, loosing streaks always come to an end (probably) 2-1 Watford , Docuoure and Cleverley to score No I’m not sure about this prediction either
I’m going racing at kempton instead. Brighton seriously hacked me off and I need a couple of days to recover. Even Brighton’s Park and ride system was better than the football.
Well now you put it like that I feel I should be more certain, we are definatley going to win 2-1, I would stake the repution of Watford F.C. on it.
After the Lesta team read this forum they’re gunna b so overconfident that we surprise everyone including Silva by spanking them 1-0. Put ur house on it. Thish brandy ish sho good I don’t even feel drunk ...
Depends on how your Xmas was. If your full of joy and merriment still don’t go cause your gonna get the moody blues. If you had crappy Xmas then go just to make you see there are worse things to sit through than Mary F**** Poppins.
I have no lucky charms. The gods have forsaken me/us. I have a constant nightmare consisting of a chortling Zaha and his flashing teeth. I fully expect this to be replaced from tonight by a horse and cart.
Yes - but when you are a 16 year old boy made to take your 10 year old brother to the "pictures" to see it, somehow it is tainted for the rest of your life. (think our parents just wanted to get rid of us for a few hours!)
After spending Christmas at my parents with my schizophrenic brother and him telling my 8 and 10 year old how he's going to kill people, today is going to be like a lottery win in comparison, even if we lose 6-0.
This thread reminds me of the one on the Stoke forum, where all their fans had resigned themselves to a cricket score against free scoring Watford.
Our recent run has shown we rely totally on our new signings. Chalobah, Cleverley, Doucoure, Richarlison and Femenia. We need all these players available or else it doesn't work. We may get away with it for a short time, but not for a long stretch. We do need a clear out. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. We have too many players, on paper are decent, but in reality are in the comfort zone and do not perform. I think we have a few players who will use Silva's lack of commitment as an excuse for their own. We do not need these players at our club. It's not a small problem as we've seen how badly we've nosedived. The last two performances have been a joke and if Watford show that level of commitment again today they will be slaughtered. Not only by the Leicester team, but by Watford fans. We may well lose today, but you have to go down fighting. Anything less than 100% commitment from every single player on the pitch should not be tolerated by supporters. Watford fans are a loyal, tolerant bunch, but they should show their displeasure today if heart and desire are not shown in abundance today.
Whilst I understand your point I think your conclusion is wrong. Any club's manager and captain need to set an example. We currently have both that don't, albeit for differing reasons. It is perfectly normal for players to adversely react to a lack of loyalty and commitment from their manager even if it is subconsciously. Our players are no different to any other teams players. A prime example are Everton who, with the same players, are a completely different team under Big Fat Sam. Having a mass clear out of players is not the answer. We need to address the root of the problem which are the manager and although I thought I would never say it, Deeney.
Look at Dourcoure's performance against Huddersfield. It was magnificent. Even when the chips were down he was doing all he could to help the side. Look at Holebas, happy to sit down and fake injury during a dangerous attack. It's all about attitude, not just ability. Right now we have too much Holebas and not enough Doucoure in our side.
Deeney, Gomes, Cathcart and Watson are part of the promotion core who had to adjust to 4 different head coaches and lead during a period of flux. It's been noted in interviews afterwards that the players focused on doing their thing more than the coaches. Quote from Deeney ""From the players' point of view, it didn't affect the dressing room too much. We had a strong mentality, and said to ourselves: 'This is going to be the year to go up'." You wonder how much of this mentality has been carried over. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.sk.../11686/10191692/staying-depended-on-promotion https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....757/Watford-Troy-Deeney-Slavisa-Jokanovic/amp While I think Gomes, Cathcart and Watson have demonstrated they listen to the head coaches via performance since they've come up, you wonder if Deeney still has that "They'll be gone after this season" mentality which transmits to some of the players.
Are they showing this one at the Esso garage? Not sure I can face going again so soon after the Brighton horror show.
