What type of potatoes were they, kVA? I always intend to plant potatoes for Xmas but never get around to it.
Duke of York? I've done them as Christmas new potatoes before, very nice. Just haven't had enough time at my Lottie this year. Win, lose or draw it's curry tonight with plenty of cheap quaffing vino.
No, Walter was dismal. The Okaka thing - you may be right; it's a strange one. Your last three paragraphs I have to say you're right, (and I probably don't agree with you often). British football crowds are very hot on this: They obsess about the players they think don't work hard enough. Watford threw themselves at the Manure goal for an equaliser and were caught out by the counter-attack, most probably because they were simply shattered and couldn't get back at Lingard, who was fresher as a sub. I do think, however, that the players lost their way somewhat during and immediately after the third goal. Lack of confidence is not a form of cowardice, nor a lack of effort, but happens in team games when things aren't working.
I think Gray's pace might be better utilised later in the game when coming on as sub. Also less pressure on him (after recent unfortunate muffed efforts) coming on than starting at home. No sign of Jolly Cholly Holebas again. He must be getting sick of this I shouldn't wonder...
Who was the fella who wanted to kill me when I said I prefer Gray to Deeney last week. After that hopefully I've got my life back. Lol
Not a bad result all in all but that was a blatant penalty at the end. Yet more useless refereeing. We'd be a much better side if we had a competent striker.
Ugh, I'll take the point but a missed opportunity. Never want to see Capoue in a Watford shirt ever again. We became so pedestrian with him on the pitch.
Zeegalaar didn't have a good game today - got found out a bit I reckon. Richarlison very quiet again for the 3rd game on the trot. Was worried when Gomes looked like he might have to come off. Happy enough with the point against a team like Spurs, but Doucoure nearly won it for us and there were two (what looked like) clear penalties which the ref bottled.
It was a good result on paper if noone had seen it, but we were **** coz we had an opportunity 2nd half to win. Carillo and Deeney were poor.
We were rubbish today. Lucky we caught a laughably off form Spurs. Atkinson has been that terrible for ******* years, still has a job.
I know you would take 1-1 before the game... but farking hell we should have got more given the circumstances, Doucoure hitting the post, the handball at the end, can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Also I thought Carrillo looked quite decent against Utd - today looked like he had completely forgotten how to play football, he was woeful. A shame, because I really think he shown some good glimpses this season. Looked like he lost his head after a couple of mistakes.
I will never, ever understand how professional footballers, Premier League ones at that, manage to be so monumentally ****ing useless at taking set pieces.
Well considering how many of us (myself included) said we would lose that can’t really complain about a hard earned point. Hit the post and had Rowan Atkinson as referee, on another day could of won but we really really need a striker in January. Burnley going to be tough but we’re good enough to get something. All in all a decent point against a top five side.
Absolutely robbed at the end of the match. That was as stonewall a penalty as you could ever hope to see.
I thought we were quite poor and wasteful today, our crossing was dire If your going to put 2 up top then just put it in the mixer ffs Stonewall pen, ref should be made to explain that one

It would be incredibly brave of the ref to give a last minute penalty against a top side, so we can't be too upset. Just be thankful we didn't get spanked. #littleoldwatford
I know that its been said before, but it shows how far we've come that we are a bit disappointed today. Spurs are clearly a bogey team - we've lost the last 5 games against them, and not beaten them in the league for ten games before today (11 now). We weren't really at our game today and gave the ball away a lot (across the team), hit the post, had a blatant penalty at the end not given - and yet still got a point. Possibly 2 points dropped, but maybe one gained - who knows!
From a historical angle, it feels like a good point as we always seem to lose to Spurs. 5 points off Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool so far this season ain’t too shabby. From an actual playing the match in itself angle, it feels like two dropped as they were there for the taking. Second time at the Vic this season that 11 men couldn’t beat 10. Too many of our team off colour today. But it’s all about making progress as the Silva reign is still in its early days, and it’s a point banked against a side above us in the table. Pity about the officiating. Son looked offside..deja vu..while that was a clear penalty at the death. Mind you as Deeney was off by then, could we have been confident we’d have scored it? I guess Atkinson denied us that worry.
Point deserved. Got a bit scared every time Tottenham got a counter attack - could have easily ruined our night at the end. The handball at the end is definitely a penalty but i'm just happy we actually got a point from them and that we didnt get spanked 4-0 (like we usually do against Spurs)
Would've taken it before the game and 1 point from this week is more than I had hoped for. Strong performance against United, strong performance against Spurs. Also, considering nobody was excellent today then we have to be happy with the point. Few thoughts from the game: Every time Mariappa looks like he's just not good enough, he has a good game. Zeeglar a bit dodge but that LB spot is his now. Richarlison was shattered and should've come off for Gray. His worst game in a Watford shirt, needs a break somewhere but we've got no-one to replace him. Came away a bit underwhelmed by Pereyra yet again, nowhere near as effective as Hughes in that wide right position. Spurs are horrible. Alli is a mahoooosive canut. Dier is a mahooosive canut. Kane is a little girl. I never want to see Capoue in a Watford shirt ever again, get rid in Jan, waste of a squad space. I said Carrillo was naff and he showed it again today. Doesn't want to be here. Cleverly put in an excellent shift considering the schedule. Deeney actually made some good runs when *they went down to 10 men but delivery from wide was consistently poor and lacking the playmaker in the middle to thread a through ball. Happy with that, just have to beat the lesser teams now which we're pretty good at.
What game were you watching? Carrillo naff??? What exactly did he do wrong.. We were down to 10 men? Are you a Spurs fan? Capoue wasn't that bad... Played some lovely long balls to the wing and made some decent tackles. I agree with you on Pereyra though. A little absent today.
