This Saturday Watford entertain North London local rivals Tottenham at Vicarage Road.

Here are some stats I ripped:
On 2nd December 2017, Watford and Tottenham Hotspur go head to head in the Premier League. The last meeting ended with the following result : Watford 1 - 4 Tottenham Hotspur.

These 2 teams have met 4 times in the last several seasons based on the data that we have of them.

Out of 4 previous meetings, Watford have won 0 matches while Tottenham Hotspur won 4. No matches between them have ended in a draw.

Watford is in poor home form while Tottenham Hotspur are performing good at away.

Previous matches between Watford and Tottenham Hotspur have averaged 3.25 goals while BTTS has happened 50% of the time.

So far this season in the Premier League, Watford have averaged 1.14 Points Per Game at home matches and Tottenham Hotspur 1.71 Points Per Game at away matches.

Please note that we have meet 4 times in the last several seasons and that Tottenham are good at away.

    further to this:
Teams Watford Tottenham played so far 11 matches.
Watford won 0 direct matches. Tottenham won 9 matches. 2 matches ended in a draw. On average in direct matches both teams scored a 2.55 goals per Match.
Watford in actual season average scored 1.48 goals per match. In 6 (60.00%) matches played at home was total goals (team and opponent) Over 1.5 goals. In 5 (50.00%) matches in season 2017 played at home was total goals (team and opponent) Over 2.5 goals.
Tottenham average scored 1.88 goals per match in season 2017. In 12 (92.31%) matches played away was total goals (team and opponent) Over 1.5 goals. In 9 (69.23%) matches played away team was total goals (team and opponent) Over 2.5 goals.
Below you will find a lot of statistics that make it easier Predict the result for a match between both teams. Below the text is a list of the direct games.

    Also importantly I can reveal:
There is a Medium Chance that Tottenham Hotspur will score a goal based on our data.
    and further to this:
There is an Uncertainty whether Watford will score a goal based on our data.

    And so onto Spurs architecture

Artist's Impression of how their new ground will look.

    Predicted score
Watford will score between 0 and 2 goals.
Kane and Debbie Alli will get two each and maybe some others will score for them.
Gomes will have an off day
    1 defender will be rusty
    Gray will miss 1-2 sitters.

Spurs on a run of poor form. We are the masters of being the team to play when you're on a run of poor form. They've scored 4 against us in the previous 2 games under the negative, defensive Walter, and we've conceded 4 against Man Utd, 3 against Liverpool, 6 against Man City and 4 against Chelsea under the all out attack of Silva. I think it's fair to predict that they might find the back of the net:eek:.

Seriously - to win, we're going to have to out score them. I think it's crucial that we take the lead at least. Otherwise - just as the other night - 0-1 could quickly become 0-2/0-3 etc.

Hoping for something special, but fear a battering. 1-4 or 1-5 Spurs:(.

Can’t stand Tottenham or their fans. I don’t know when we beat them last? But it’s about time now. As Joss says, we will concede so we’ll need to score more than them.

    5-4

    Watford win!

Surely our poor run against Spurs has to to come to an end. They are a class team but seem to have hit a sticky patch. If we can only keep it a bit tighter in defence we might just get something from this game. We now have personnel to compete for and win possession. Last year we could not get near them. Hoping for a surprise 2 - 1 win or at least 2 - 2 draw.

Am expecting lots of pundits to be talking about our poor home form because all they could be bothered to do was look at the table on the BBC website when actually it's not so bad when you realise this will be our 5th home game against a top 6 team out of
    8 home games .

Going to get smashed. Conceding the game before kick-off will be the smart thing to do as it will only result in 3-0 loss.

If we do in fact decide to insist on actually playing this game, Kane will bag a hat-trick, Alli a brace and Son with a screamer. We might get a goal if we’re lucky.

Watford 1-6 Spurs. Perfect day to do something else and just check the result at 5pm.

    Games v top 6;

    Liverpool - 3-3, 6 goals
    Man city 0-6, 6 goals
    Chelsea 4-2, 6 goals
    Man utd 2-4, 6 goals

Only the arsenal game threw up less than 6 goals.
I conclude we need to score 3 for a chance of a point. 4 to win it. Or Silva goes oddly defensive

Met a chap yesterday, Dortmund fan, who was at the Schalke match. BD 4-0 up, ending 4-4.

I'd take the point ( & potentially life changing rollercoster experience).

What doesn't help is that I was more confident about the United game than I am about this game.

Watford are good, but Spurs will be better. Better to the tune of a 3-1 away win.

Get Pereyra and Carrillo into the side and have a go at them. It's been far too long since we took anything from Spurs. Haven't beaten them in a league game since... 1987.

In the words of Principal Skinner: Prove me wrong, Watford. Proooove meee wrooonnngggg.

Would be surprised if we get anything from this. Historically awful against them and with our defence as it is, I really don’t see anything other than the usual outcome.

    0-3

We clearly have a better attack than we've had against them in the past few seasons so I think we will put a couple past them.

Problem is our basic defensive errors. If they capitalise the way manu did we will concede a couple. If they turn up like newcastle or west ham then we'll win.

    Grey with a clinical strike...

Couldn't even sell my seat on ticket exchange for this one. Pathetic that not even Spurs fans pretending to be Watford fans wanted my seat for the day.

I’m going but not holding much hope. Spurs seem to enjoy taking us to the cleaners and look at this as an away banker for them.

3 without reply, and Grey to score one of them at the wrong end.

I’m glad we beat WHU and NU before these two games.
