Yes that annoys me as well, so unnecessary it's a good job Holibas isn't a goal scorer as he would be banned as. much as he is available! But seriously Richy should be told not to do it unless it's an 90th minute away clincher oh wait a minute!

That Richarlison is raw but I tell you what, he's a terrific player.

I didn't watch the first half due to work. The second was a tough watch. We were frustrating, haphazard and disjointed and I was getting worried that Silva has a limited vocabulary in football management terms. The jury is still out but we still looked dangerous when we did manage to string 2 passes together which counts for a lot, good teams win paying badly after all.

The ref made some poor decisions and we should have had a clear penalty.

Gomes made a good save and was rightly annoyed at the defence for firstly letting Swansea in so easily, secondly being second to it on the rebound.

Got to love a last minute winner off the bar.

Great first half and nervy second.....but...... there is one thing this season which I am loving more than any other and that is every opposition forum is saying "we should be beating the likes of Watford". Some of these clubs think it's their god given right to be top flight and it's soooo funny.

Oh yes, and I am in The Potters Wheel Wetherspoons, Swansea, now in plain clothes, drinking my Abbot and overhearing the locals comments and discussions about the game. Most entertaining, happy days. In a while back to Travelodge to watch MOTD. Roll on next Saturday and hopefully 4 away on the trot.

DIfficult to say, he allowed the cross for the goal, but to be honest, it was comical defending throughout. He seemed to settle down a bit more, but we played with 3 at the back with him on the right.

Doesn't matter how you win them as long as you get the 3 points. Biggest worry from today is Chalobah; I'm hoping his injury isn't too serious.

There was a nice comment made during the Leicester v Liverpool match. They were saying the table already has a familiar look with all the big sides at the top, but then went on to say some of those teams will lose points to Watford.

I think slowly the penny is dropping and pundits are beginning to rate us.

I took a lot of stick last season for being critical, but I'm always honest with my view and could see things were not right, especially with the coach. Now it's the total opposite. The coach is doing a fantastic job and I think his biggest success is creating a team spirit. It's obvious how together the team is and that's purely down to Silva. It's ridiculous how much stick he got for his half time tactical switch, but fans must see the bigger picture. Where we clearly took a wrong turn last season, we're certainly on the right road now. Silva will make mistakes, everyone does, but you have to look at the direction we're going in with him, and it's very encouraging.

I'm excited by the team we have now, and it's been a long time since I felt that watching Watford. Last season was more a call of duty rather than something I really looked forward to. Are we perfect? No, the central defence is a problem, but players are giving their all. This is what gives players an edge. The spirit and desire to chase lost causes or throw your body on the line. They've all bought into Silva's standards.

The most exciting thing is that I can see us getting even better. Richarlison, Carrillo and Fermenia are beginning to find their feet and their performances are standing out. Doucoure, Cleverley and Chalobah have been outstanding with their quality and endeavour. Gray has been a little disappointing, but no one can question his attitude and work rate. He stretches teams and this gives others the space in which to play.

Deeney's attitude has been first class. Can you imagine him settling for the bench under Mazzarri? He had a strop when he was dropped just once, I seem to remember. Now he's being patient and is still putting it in when called on. Today he did very well.

We're doing all this without Pererya hardly playing......which amazes me. I thought he'd be someone we just could not afford to lose. Attitude is key, and Silva has uplifted Watford to a level of belief and desire that could really take us places.

I was at Carrer Rudd to see if Bristol City's first team are better than their reserves (they aren't - Gunn only had one save to make) and then drove home listening to Leicester v Liverpool. Working through this thread and will Gaggsy won't he? added a special thrill to the day.

No Richarlison shouldn't be our striker. He's the guy that pushes forward making things happen so far. If he's waiting in the box for someone else to do that he could be frozen out of games.

Unfortunately didn't get to see the game today so have no significant points to add, and I won't judge it on the piss-poor highlights on match of the day. Martin Keown describing Richarlison's winner as a "scoop" just about sums him up - had it been Jesus or Aguero they'd be salivating over it.

Interesting going back reading all the comments during and immediately after the game - just goes to show how emotion can really skew what you're looking at, making it almost impossible to be objective.

Personally - I think it's a huge win. After the 0-6 defeat it was so important for the players to quickly regain their confidence, and put last week down to a blip against an extraordinary team. And Swansea were coming off the back of a great point at Spurs and a comfortable midweek cup win.

Also great to see us win without Chalobah, as he's been so good so far. Hearing worrying things on Twitter that he's out for ages, and he hasn't responded to tweets asking him of the severity of the injury. But I hope that's not true and that he'll be back next week.

Great to see Andre Gray off the mark - hopefully a huge weight lifted off of his shoulders. And also to see Deeney make a positive contribution, albeit only for the last 10 mins.

Nothing to add about Richarlison, other than to agree with everyone - the kid is awesome:).

And a big shout out to Hornetgags - congratulations mate! I'd have caved in long before the end. This fixture shall now be known as the HG match!

Keeping true to the anorak I am - here's a heap of pics I've collected from the game that some of you may not have seen:

Looking forward to West Brom away now!

I know you should support your team at all times bla di bla but the last two years there wasn't many occasions where I fancied spending a load of money and travelling hours to watch us play away.

That's completely changed this season, so thanks to Marco & Gino for making Watford a joy to watch again! :)

Last season we had a credible 8 points from 6 games.

This season we have 11 points at the same point, which on paper may not be a monumental difference given our easier start, but already in terms of performances, spirit and adaptability feels a world apart (and that was when most of us considered Mazzarri the real deal - in retrospect the alarms should have already started ringing after the Burnley game, and a little later on, this fixture which set the unfortunate blueprint to how Walter wanted us to play).

My last two away games of 2016/17 were Palace and Hull, two awful games and awful performances against relegation-threatened sides, which made me effectively give up on the season. What a complete and positive contrast the away games I've been to this one have been, Southampton and today's game - players who are happy to play as a team, for the club, manager and last, but not least, the fans. The spirit and camaraderie in the stands and between fans and players is probably the best I've seen since the promotion season - only game that has come close in this respect was the Arsenal cup game, which sadly turned out to be a blip in 18 months of poor form and motivation.

Not much I can add in terms of individual/team performances that hasn't already been said by much more insightful posters than myself. Carillo was excellent, combining and interchanging really well with Femenia on the right - finally we have a decent winger on that side (sorry Amrabat). Even though it was offside, there was a beautiful sequence of play leading to the disallowed goal - I think, Carillo crossing to Femenia, Femenia having a good shot saved, Carillo crossing from the rebound to Richarlison who passed to Gray - the only thing I remember about this game last season (and many others for that matter) was faffing about with the ball for long periods in our own half and being lucky not to lose. Gray had his best game in a Watford shirt, and I thought that before he scored - he was bringing others into play a lot more, was much more up to pace, and finally looked like the useful if not world class striker that Burnley clearly stayed up because rather than in spite of - great player to add squad depth and keep Deeney on his toes.

I have to admit I didn't pay close attention to the half time change (I'm still familiarizing myself with all these new faces) but I can't say it made a major negative impact on our performance until Swansea scored and their fans got behind their team for the first time. I did worry this was going to be a repeat of Southampton away last season, and was thinking as they upped the ante "ah well, I'd have settled for a draw before kick off", but once Bobby P came on and made an instant revitalizing impact, winning a corner within seconds of his arrival (even if it wasn't a great one), I knew we had something left in the tank.

Mental celebrations in the stands too after our 2nd, of the like I hadn't seen since, funnily enough, Arsenal away in 2016. Fans bounding down the steps from nowhere, thumping me on the shoulders from behind, great stuff, along with the result making probably my favourite Premier League away trip even greater. Yes, in the grander scheme of things, this match will likely be remembered as just another good away day and it won't win us anything, but it's matches like this that go a long way to make us feel united as a club again.

Finally, about Richarlison - I agree that he's had better games and I forgot he was playing for much of the match, with our best attacks in the first half tending to come down the right hand side. Or perhaps he's just a player I'm still learning about (and no doubt he is) in terms of what he can do, what he offers to our team. Because already it's clear he's not an easily categorizable player, which is his strength - with his versatility, the options he provides in attack and movement, he already looks to be our best youngster in our Premier League history, and that includes Ake, and it's frightening to consider his potential at just 20. Not sure why one or two have been criticising his touch in his goal, I thought it was a bloody commendable and well worked finish especially considering he's not (yet!) an out-and-out striker, composed, knowing just when to turn and shoot - can you imagine Iggy scoring something like that even during his prime?

Anyway roll on West Brom. I'm not expecting us to make it four away wins out of four, especially at a ground we usually lose at, I'm just happy to see a team give 100% and enjoy their football, the kind of quality that drew me to WFC in the first place, whatever the level of skill, and long may it continue.

Don't need to add anything else to what has already been said but such a great win, so pumped. Massive to comeback from a 6-0 battering and win the next game. There really is a fantastic spirit in the camp this season.

Too early to renew Marco's contract? I don't think so. Would rather us get a decent amount of compensation for him when bigger teams come knocking at the end of the season.

I wasn't able to watch the game today as I was at a birthday party. What is the pen decision people are talking about? Can't find it anywhere in any commentaries or match reports. When did the incident supposedly happen?
