Didn't seem to show Ryan Fraser taking a blatant dive in the box either, how he never got booked for it I don't know as the referee basically told him to get up.

Even the Bournemouth fans couldn't understand how MOTD could make them look so good. Only a fraction of Watford chances shown. There seems to be a conspiracy here.

Have we got a mention on that Sunday lunchtime show on BBC 2 yet?

Guess 45 minutes isn't enough time to speak about anyone else really once the top 4/6 have been covered!

Chappers made a comment about getting messages from Watford fans if they didn't get a mention so we got a mention about one minute from the end with the newspaper hack making usual comments about the manager go round at the club. Very predictable stuff.

Yes I think that was the sniggering scouser Andy Dunne? Very patronising although Chappers is always fair minded,I think his son is a Hornet?

Yep. The reporter on the game for BBC Final Score was slagging it off for being dull & lacking in quality & the report on the website is similar so probably the same guy. I suspect he was at home with his feet up & just made it up.

I think you are right. Ive heard him mention it in the past.

Doesn't he write for the Mirror?

    Probably sums it up.

They probably got upset we beat an English manager who is very popular!

Even on Final score that Mark Clement guy was waffling on about how great is was to see 2 old fashioned British managers at the top of the Championship ahead of Wolves/Fulham etc.

Aside from fergie, foreign managers have pretty much dominated the top of the English game for about 20-30 years.

Good old fashioned British managers are a thing of the past, much like reporters like this guy who no one really pays attention to any longer.

Would be good to have specific thread on general media reporting?

Here is The Telegraph's weekly football podcast by their chief sport writer & guest. Very balanced discussion & agree with pretty much everything they say with regard to all the other teams/games & perceptions about the early start to the season for each club.

A few positive comments about us starting at 14.25. It's starting to seep through.

I found the sneering comments about our managers (which are actually coaches) to be rather insulting and patronising. Chelsea have had 7 managers in 9 years and haven't done badly.

I'm sure the average stint of a manager can't be much more than a year anyway. We just have the good sense to make all changes at the moment that causes least disruption, which is solid management.

The only time we strayed from that is 2014/15 when everything went a bit haywire, but then we got promoted, so who gives a s**t.

And even then could be argued Sannino quit (maybe with some help..) Garcia fell ill and McKinlay was a caretaker type manager.

As you say still got promoted!

I think most managers gets 6 months at best now to sort their team out and progress.

It would be useful if you could tell us what we are meant to be looking for, then we can answer your question.

Actually, having watched everything from about 38 mins in, to about 42 mins, I have probably seen what you are referring to. I just don't know what it is. :D

Shearer complaining about refereeing consistency and then complaining that the man city free kick was taken a few yards behind where the offence was made. #irony!

How the f*** is Mike Dean still on the Premier League Referee's List ? Normally I'd have a good laugh at a Citeh player being sent off, but that's embarrassing. Yes, "letter of the law" and all that, but FFS, use your sodding brain man !

Well Stirling didn't exactly make it easy not to book him, you can't go into the crowd or excite the crowd in the way he did!

  19. Meh!

    Meh! Pre-Dictator

And as Shearer said, you then need to book the other 7 citeh players who also jumped in.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Brilliant MOTD. Showed absolutely none of the class we showed at 1 man down.

Hilarious. Anyone watching MOTD will think we deserved to lose when anyone at the game will know we actually deserved to win.

    Still under the rader.

At least SoccerAM shows some of our best bits.

    MOTD. What a joke.

Can someone explain how in the analysis of the indirect free kick they seemed to have missed knockaert's very blatant dive? He went down like he'd had his face ripped off!

In am honestly starting to believe that the pundits do not watch the games. I also thought that we could have got a mention for our game plan when going down to ten men. Instead they made Brighton sound like they were Barcelona when in actual fact they were a bit crap and playing agains one less player for three quarters of the game.

Certainly thought we matched them in the 2nd half.

Thought they might talk about how tactically Silva did a good job 2nd half but guess it's beyond them to really talk about that.

Why do they always show the games which have already been televised as the feature games? If you were interested in theses matches you would either go to it or watch it on Sky hen it was broadcast live.

MOTD should have sought Klopp's opinion on the Britos tackle, it was right in front of him

Those that have felt aggrieved about where we have been in the MOTD running order should spare a thought for Huddersfield Town. They've topped the table twice already this season and yet they were shown behind us last night.

At the end of the day it's the size of the club that really dictates where you will be shown.

They drew 0-0 with even less notable incidents than us. I'd say last was right.

If I were a Huddersfield fan I would be aggrieved about the lack of comment and appreciation that the club have been getting bearing in mind they are new to the premier league and have had such a strong start. Just imagine how the pundits would have been quick to praise had it been little muff in their position. Such a shame no points going into the international break

True.. but had they been United, City or Chelsea i doubt they'd have been shown last.
