I'm fed up wth this. That's the fourth time I've broken off from mowing the lawn to see whether this **** has been appointed yet. Sort it out, Gino.
You must have some lawn, I make that about an hour you've been doing it, or are you using nail scissors?
https://twitter.com/AdamLeventhal/status/868145518735745024 Adam Leventhal reporting we're in advanced talks with Marco Silva and hope to finalise deal within next 24-48 hours. Of course, that could mean advanced talks of the "Juan Iturbe goes somewhere else for more money" variety, or the "Roberto Pereyra takes several weeks but get there in the end" advanced talks.
If Silva does join then I think that's a good sign for the transfer window. I don't think he'd join unless he was heavily backed with investment.
Almost all of the bookies have very good odds on now.Bet 365 1/2 William Hill 1/4 Betfair 1/2. If these are anything to go by it is looking like it could happen.
Oddschecker now quoting evens that Watford play their home games next season on Keighley's lawn, while they build a new stadium.
Reasonably happy with Silva although he fails in Ginos criteria of having success in a major European League. Hes a safe bet in that I cant see us getting relegated under him, and there are signs that he may actually turn out to be the next big thing. Definitely worth taking a punt on him. I would have loved Schmidt but I dont think we have the squad for his style of playing. So who shall we sign from Hull? Markovic ? Maguire ? Anyone else? Ranocchia doesnt look any better than what we ve got imo.
And how many times have loyal supporters had to move seats since 1880 to accommodate the corporate entourage. That's the real story today.
You've found me out. I am 'Lord' ZZ Top. Bow before me, you plebs. PS: lawn not flat. Winning the toss for ends could be decisive.
Maigure for sure. Wouldn't mind the Italian defender they had there on loan from Inter too. Providing there are no stumbling blocks over the next 48 hours, I think this is a great appointment. Was very popular at Hull in almost impossible circumstances with both the fans and the players. He's young, tactically very shrewd and as I alluded too he is a popular figure. Basically everything Walter isn't!
Before we get too excited bear in mind he has already been in advanced talks with Porto this week and expected to sign for them. Talking to Palace next ?
I'm in advanced talks with Mrs Moose about a new car. Her outright refusal is just a negotiating technique. I've heard all this 'there will be no money to spend before' about the holiday. Frankly, I don't believe a word. Odds tumbling on certain online bookmaking sites.
Silva has always been the front runner and it was just a matter of being patient, as it usually is with these things. It's my belief he will transform the atmosphere around the club, which has appeared from the outside to have been quite toxic as the past season wore on. The Mazzarri failure has shown that is almost as important a quality as coaching ability. People shouldn't worry about the later either. Here's a guy who has won a league and a cup, plus a promotion, and has never been fired from a job for footballing reasons. In this country he's beaten United and Liverpool (and Bournemouth lol), and won 21 points from 18 matches with a struggling side. Over a season that equates to 42 points, more than we got this past season!!
I think 4 of their back 5 (not their RB) and Markovic would improve us. Maybe even Niasse, but that would be more because our forwards are bad rather than him being desirable.
Kamil Grosicki impressed me more than any other Hull player, and by some distance. Sam Clucas seemed to have had a good season too. Elmohammedy's dancing being shown during the credits for MOTD every week angered me profusely, so hopefully he doesn't get a "lifeline" back into the Premiership anytime soon.
